Re: [CHANGE!] otome demo
I see where you're coming from about the save slots. Since you can't "rewind" back through choices, though, and there are so many of them (which I love!), I found myself going "oh no, which save should I overwrite!?" a lot. I think 8 or 12 would help though!

Re: [CHANGE!] otome demo
I just finished playing through your demo, and I think I understand why people are having trouble expressing what's "off" about the English version. There are a few places where the word choice feels wrong or is incorrect (like "he is probably a friendly guy with a wide range of communication" - com...

Re: Writing from the perspective of the future
You're very welcome :D The image of two faceless children is really cool (and it sets up the creepiness of these two unseen people in a crowd, watching from outside of time). I think what strikes me as off about that sentence is that it's in a 3rd person omniscient, whereas everything else in that s...

Re: The curious xenophobia of the game engine
I would guess it has more to do with discoverability than anything. I found these forums because the games that I played (written in my native language, available in my region) were all made using Ren'Py. Speaking as a player and fan and not a dev myself, I've never heard of NScripter or KiriKiri at...

Re: Writing from the perspective of the future
I think the line break and italics are enough to signal to the reader that we're having some kind of time change, and you do a pretty good job in the italics section of bringing us up to speed with what, exactly, that change is. That said, I think the transition could be a little smoother. Within th...

Re: Detective Cross [Puzzle][Mystery][Non-Commercial]
Ahh! I got it! You said to PM you, so I won't put the solution here, even in spoiler tags, but, spoiler free: It took me several tries before I figured out the "trick" to this puzzle, and I'm a puzzle person, which might mean the hints/logic to the puzzle aren't as clear as you want them to be/think...

Re: What Breaks Your Immersion?
I think spelling and grammar are the two big ones for me, as well as stilted or bad writing in general. Continuity errors really get me, too. I don't see it too often, but sometimes in a branching VN, when different paths meet up at a shared scene, the scene won't quite match up with all the paths. ...
Re: Guestbook
Hello everyone! I decided it's finally time to stop lurking and actually make an account and introduce myself. I'm relatively new to the VN genre, but have been absolutely devouring them since I played my first one. By day, I'm a professional writer, so I'm particularly interested in the writing asp...
