Re: (Open) Seeking Sprite Artist for Mystery VN
Oh what the heck, I'll throw my portfolio out there. You can check out my lemmasoft thread here , and my full portfolio here . My style is very unique, so it may not be the right fit for your project, but I am too intrigued by your VN not to put myself out there. I am very accustomed to animation, s...

Re: What's your favorite font?
I'm a huge fan of Myriad, and use it as the standard for almost everything. It is simple, easy to read, and versatile. When I need a more obscure/interesting font, I usually hit up DaFont, which allows you to sort by free/commercial use fonts, and browse the perfect font for your project. Good luck!

Re: Is my character art passable?
Hello Shagwrath, I just want to remind you first and foremost that visual novels come in so many different artistic styles. While the art is important, the true force behind a compelling VN (at least to myself, and many others) is the story and characters. Your character designs are very visually in...

Re: Drawing different body types as chibis?
I won't pretend to know much about drawing in the chibi style, but I imagine one of the biggest aspects in really capturing a chibi character is in the pose. Just like in traditional character illustration, using a pose to bring out the essence of a character is extremely important, and perhaps even...

Re: Ouroboros [Dragon Age Fan Game]
Yesss! I feel obligated to comment on this because... well, Dragon Age. ;P Let me start by complimenting the sample artwork. Even though it is not finalized, your samples are extremely high-quality, and fit very well with the Dragon Age setting. I am also a huge fan of adventure and mystery, so you'...

Re: Voiceacting in Commercial VNs-- do you?
It seems like most people go for either full voice-overs, or none at all... Personally, I much prefer the strong balance of partial voice acting to either. Games like Dangan Ronpa do a great job of this, using key phrases/sounds to enhance the tone of a character's text-based statements. Partial voi...

Re: Dr. Frank's Build-A-Boyfriend [Yaoijam][BxB][Comedy][Puz
Love, love, LOVE this idea, and really look forward to seeing it come together. Good luck! What character looks the most interesting to you? Are you interested in the puzzle elements? Or are you more interested in the story? Any additional feedback? I'm pretty into the rugged look, so I'm definitely...

Re: How do these 3d Models look for a visual novel?
I can't draw well, so I am trying to use 3d models for a VN. (3d Models rendered to look like 2d) Hi, justcolorado, If you are more interested in producing a 2D VN but don't have the illustration abilities, is there any reason you don't feel comfortable tracing your 3D models? They look really good...

Re: Free Sprite Artist: Looking for a short project
This is so cool!! I have often thought about drawing traditional sprites, but haven't really found a good method for shifting outfits and expressions efficiently. This seems to work perfectly. I love the style of your sample, and your use of colour is fantastic. Good luck finding a project, I imagin...
