Re: Forming a Writer's Guild

Yeah, if it was constructive criticism, I wouldn't mind. But comments along the lines of: "It's been done before." And: "You're doing it wrong." Don't solve anything. And don't get us anywhere. No one asked you to do these things for them, so you can't automatically expect gratitude, So if I push yo...

Re: Forming a Writer's Guild

There is literally no one stopping you but yourself. Yeah I'll remember that next time someone shuts their door on me when I go trough the effort of knocking to do them a favor. That's a metaphor by the way. You know... It's funny, I'm offering my time and effort to make life easier for other peopl...

Re: Forming a Writer's Guild

You know, you'll be a lot more likely to find willing participants if you don't try to intimidate people into joining your guild. (I could be mistaken, but you're certainly coming across that way to me. Just a thought.) Well I got your attention, didn't I? *chuckle* And who said I'm trying to intim...

Forming a Writer's Guild

Alright, suffice to say I'm forming a writer's guild. The goals are basically to help with anything that has anything to do with writing. Now, the question is... Is anyone gonna come out up front, or am I going to have to do this the hard way? By painstakingly looking for associates, one by one. Wha...

Actually, thank you spending your time and attention on little ol' me.
Interested, yes. But for now I'm more than satisfied with the amount of work I have.
I'll keep an eye out for you though.

Mr. Writing Dude.

Dude... Dude Writing, at your service. Or you could call me Saltome, that's my real alias anyway, but my friends call me Salty. So you can call me that, my friend. In any case, I'm looking for some work to pick up. I do believe, the best way to prove one's skill, is in action. But as a little incent...

Re: Red eyes in the darkness 2nd dungeon crawler Alpha

You should probably use sprites for such graphically intensive interfaces, images are fat. The other thing is that if you have more than one instance or copy of each image the total memory requirement inflates. Lastly, a good point was made in the other topic... The rollback feature. I don't think i...

Re: Red eyes in the darkness 2nd dungeon crawler Alpha

What happens if you use a bigger map?
Something doesn't add up. You have about 4 image files, they should not take this much memory.
And I have a nagging suspicion...
Are you utilizing the sprite manager?

Re: Red eyes in the darkness 2nd dungeon crawler Alpha

On a side note, when you run backwards into a wall the fog overlay resets it's position. And you don't actually bump into the wall, which would make more sense than running into a wall face first. x) On a second look I can say that there is no performance issue while I'm idling. However pretty much ...

Re: Seven Kingdoms: The Princess Problem (Demo Thread)!

By the way, while I'm hovering around the thread... In my reports, I neglected to mention a little exploit. It was quite convenient for testing purposes, but you may wanna remove it from the final release. Because of the rollback feature it's easy to find the secret scenes when exploring the castle....

...An old one ...A broken one. Used to have about 1gb, but so it happened that one of my 2 ram cards died recently. Aside from that, 1.8gh, 80gb, no dedicated graphics card. I wasn't planning to discuss this further, but I guess I might as well take it off my chest. For starters I see what you are t...

Re: Who is Mike? [Mystery/Thriller,Supernatural] BETA VER 1.

For the sly ending, Yup, that's pretty much what I meant. It makes sense now, but because of the endings I had gotten prior to that point, at the time I was acting under the understanding that I was the one in danger. Besides, there was always the possibility that the character was originally a man...

Re: Who is Mike? [Mystery/Thriller,Supernatural] BETA VER 1.

Alright, no problems downloading it this time. Overally pretty good, no particular bugs. I kinda liked The Sly ending best, nice and simple. Aside from that last little twist in the end, I didn't need that part. And obviously the canon ending, it leaves a couple of interesting possibilities open. Im...

Number 2. Long hair is definitely the way to go. Trust me, I'm a guy, with taste to boot... Shh... *shifty look* ... Not that there's anything wrong with your hair. :u But long hair is more universally appealing, to all sorts of males, for all sorts of reasons. And she is after all an idol... let's ...
