RotGtIE there' s a lot great feedback here! Thank you! I'll do my best to implement as much of it as I can! I wanted to keep this section brief because after this the main story starts and I wanted to dive right into it. Do you think the pacing is too quick?

Welcome to the forums! :D I think your trimmed version is both an improvement and a step back, surprisingly for similar reasons. Cutting out some of the very short sentences (or merging them into longer sentences) definitely improves the pacing of this excerpt. I think editing: You will be found. B...
