I have a friend who's SOOO into Dark Souls. He loves dark souls so much, he worships the sun. I liked Dark Souls. I personally found it challenging rather than overwhelmingly difficult. I liked Dark Souls 2 better than the first one though. I'm not into the lore or the story, I just like it as a game.
