Re: Adding Notepad++ for Ren'Py
Has anybody managed to set N++ to be used as the default editor under Windows? I even managed to set it up in one of the previous RenPy builds but with the new system of selecting the default editor I just don't know where to start. Setting the Notepad++ to send the data from the currently open file...

Re: Best Tablet to Use
Using tablet is in large part a motoric skill too, so a few weeks is not nearly enough for learning what is essentially a new skillset. The brain is constantly trying to use old patterns for solving new problems - while I was going through my share of "geometric shapes" (back in the uni days) there ...

Re: Best Tablet to Use
Seems to me you were using the tablet in a way a mouse is used. Can't comment on the perceived lack of hotkeys (although my keyboard / tablet setup is the same, but maybe in my case it works because I'm right handed and my tablet isn't very big) but trying to hover over and attempt a precise click i...

Re: Best Tablet to Use
...I know tablets are very usefull for digital painting but I'm curious to see if improves the speed and precision of vector artwork. Any vector artists out there use a tablet? I use a tablet for vectors (and bitmap) works, it's indispensable. Personally (as in: IRL) I don't know any digital artist...

Re: Battle Engine?
Sounds interesting indeed - the low number of downloads is a bit puzzling... I can say for myself that I rarely check the WiP part of the forum (say 1/month) but looking at the thread it had 134 views and 0 replies? I'd expect people to be all over it.
Personally I'd be very interested :^)

Re: List software you use here
Windows XP here, using: Directory Opus for managing files - it's just excellent. The reason why it's hard to say what exactly makes it so fantastic is because it has so many great features it's impossible to single any one out. Some of my favorites are probably the way it handles going to the parent...

Re: I proclaim the phpBB search useless!
Alternatively you can try a custom Google search just for the RenPy (it will not return results from the whole internet but only from this forum, RenPy wiki and few other manually selected sites). Google says it's still in beta so expect a few quirks here and there but it mostly works: RenPy custom ...

Played this a few days ago - great fun! There were a few bugs with pathfinding but other than that I enjoyed it a lot, it's very slick and well executed!

Re: Worst or most disappointing game you ever bought
Speaking of CING (the guys behind Another Code and Hotel Dusk) - I think they filed for bankruptcy... I didn't like their games but it's still a bit sad since they definitely had some good ideas and there was a lot of potential in their games. Oh well

Re: Does anyone know of a screen recorder that doesn't lag..
Camtsia isn't free anymore, but at one point Computer Arts had a promo edition of Camtasia 3 on the cover CD (maybe there was even a Mac version included, don't remember). For some reason my computer can't really handle it well (doesn't mean much though, it's a weird machine) but from what I hear Ca...

Re: Digital: A Love Story
Just finished playing this, my thoughts: It's just great. In places it reminded me of how Dan Simmons used Yeats in Hyperion, which is a good thing in my book. The amount of research that went into this game is super impressive, although I can't help but feel that the consultant / source of inspirat...
