Re: How to change the default editor from jedit to Notepad++
So far so good! Now the next thing I'm trying to do is to make a N++ button that would execute the script after I save it, similar to the way N++ has other predefined functions like "Launch in Firefox" or "Google search" implemented - this would save me some switching windows (from text editor and R...

Re: How to change the default editor from jedit to Notepad++
Actually it works. The silly mistake was that I used the default of my file browser's "Copy full file path" when I wanted to put in N++ filename and it copied the pathname with the "\" (can't blame it) while the script requires "/".
Awesome - thanks a lot!

Re: How to change the default editor from jedit to Notepad++
Oh heh I see you assumed I'm talking abot Windows' Notepad - naah, this Notepad++ doesn't have anything to do with that one aside from the name. Anyway, I tried it but it didn't work, then in the end I stripped it down to just config.editor = 'd:\Program Files\Notepad++\notepad++.exe "%(filename)s" ...

How to change the default editor from jedit to N++ (solved)
I'm deeply unhappy with jedit but have no idea of how to change the default editor to anyhting else. I can open the .rpy file directly in something like Notepad++ but this is just a part of the problem since Ren'Py will reopen jedit for error reportings etc. The only similar thread I've been able to...

Re: Ren'Py dedicated search engine
Thanks for testing it - yes, you're right, it definitely doesn't work as it should. While testing it I was searching primarily for very specific strings like renpy.save so didn't even notice this. The engine definitely needs further tuning, I'll keep on poking it. Sometimes it's really fiddly, guess...

Ren'Py dedicated search engine
Hey guys, sorry if this is in the wrong part of the forum but since it deals with technical help it seemed the most appropriate place. Being pretty fresh with the Ren'Py made me realize how impractical it can be for a newbie to crawl through all the resources available for the engine. Looking manual...

Re: Having the textbox change midgame
I'm trying to achieve something similiar but even after reading all the posts in this and a few relevant threads I'm still not able to make a paragraph with alignment set to centered sit in the middle of the dialogue box. So far I found out how to have the text centered in the middle of the screen: ...
