Re: Are There Plans to Make Ren'Py More User-Friendly?
I think the community should really consider recruiting volunteers to make a more in-depth Ren'Py tutorial game, or a series of instructional YouTube videos. The Ren'Py documentation is already written in pretty plain English, so it's easier to learn. But I know lots of people (myself included) are ...

Re: Name Pending[Parenthood][BxG/B]
I like the idea of a story focusing on parenting, which there currently aren't many. But it sounds like you want this to be more of a slice-of-life story, rather than a drama. The tone of the premise leans more towards the latter, in my opinion. The only game I know of that resembles what you're goi...

Re: Hocus Pocus Prince [Otome][Comedy][Commercial]
I think it's financially safer to have all your character routes in one purchase. Only reason I can think to make them separate is if they're like episodes, with very distinctive routes and large play times. And even then, you're only making one at a time, they're not all readily available upon rele...

@Green Glasses Girl
Thanks for taking the time to make those links, much appreciated!
As for the sig, we're still working on a proper logo to use at the moment. Believe me, if I had it, I would use it, lol. Thanks again.
@trooper6
Thanks for the advice as well

Re: Galaktika Gamble Recruitment Thread!
There's a forum called Voice Acting Alliance. I tried looking up voice acting communities before, and it's the only one I found. Fortunately, it's still very active. So if you need to find a voice actor, I'd give this a look. Link below. http://voiceactingalliance.com/board/forum.php If you can't fi...

Re: How to Raise Awareness For Your Game?
@firecat
Maybe that wasn't your intention, but the tone of your comment was pretty rude, especially the last sentence.
Plus, I already knew all of that, I mentioned I read about kickstarter preparation. I was asking for advice on how to help build fans.

How to Raise Awareness For Your Game?
Hi, The game I'm working on, you can find in my signature. An inevitable step for our game will be to launch a kickstarter. But as I've read from multiple sources on kickstarter advice, it's important to raise awareness for your game before the kickstarter, not after. Many stress the importance of e...

Re: Are There Plans to Make Ren'Py More User-Friendly?
I appreciate you offering the links, but I didn't need them. That was just an example I gave. I was asking this question out of curiosity, not out of a complaint on how Ren'Py works.

Re: Are There Plans to Make Ren'Py More User-Friendly?
I don't think Ren'py needs to be made more user friendly. Rather, I think an educational VN that is made for people who don't know how to do anything would be more useful. Something that explains everything in great detail...that rather than giving new users a fish, it teaches them how to fish. May...

Re: Are There Plans to Make Ren'Py More User-Friendly?
Understandable. It's good to know the idea is at least on the table.
Thanks for the swift response.

Are There Plans to Make Ren'Py More User-Friendly?
I'm noticing every 1-2 days, there's a new question on how to do something in Ren'Py. It usually sounds pretty simple in theory. I guess the issue usually isn't how to do something, but where to actually begin. While you don't have to be tech savvy to know the very basics (like dialogue and showing ...

@Granted
Since you need the drawing, and aren't just asking the artists to make it for fun, you should try Deviant Art's forums instead.
Make sure you double check that you're not in the paid offers section.

Not bad, not bad. Thanks!
I'm not an artist myself, but one quick tip I can offer is to try and make your lines bolder, like around the eyes for example; it makes them more defined.

Re: Ash's Art [Critique's and Requests Welcome]
Since you've gotten elves on my mind, can you do Zelda's Link? Half of his face normal Link, the other half Dark Link with a wicked smile? I've never seen that before.
