Re: Derisive criticism of your work online...?

I'll give you the quick version. The internet is full of people who literally have nothing better to do, than insult random strangers, aka, trolls. When someone insults anything you do, it's not personal, because they'll find excuses to hate many other things for no reason. I blame the lack of compe...

Re: My Art Thread. I want to be come better! Please critique

Not an artist, but maybe my notes will help. The toes and fingers look a little stubby. There's no use of shadows or shading to make it more 3D. The face and hair need more detail. For example: the right cheek is lopsided.

Re: Sundown [Supernatural GxB] What Do You Think?

I'm glad it helped you :) It seems to match the story better now, yes. I think the only reason why I'm not entirely sure, is because I don't fully understand the circumstances of the story yet. Ex: when I think of hunters, I imagine secret societies (usually religious in nature) dedicating their liv...

Re: Sundown [Supernatural GxB] What Do You Think?

REPLY 1) Then I suppose that will make for an interesting story. But try to make sure, unlike many other stories in the past, the obstacles are more believable. I've met plenty of writers who write like fan, i.e, situations are too ideal for the hero. Sure, we'd like to root for the average guy/girl...

Re: Writing an anime-style VN with Japanese vocabulary?

Keep it simple and stick with English. I've seen stories set in Japan where while the language is English, the characters are supposed to be speaking Japanese. It makes immersion difficult because I know the way English speakers communicate, isn't the same as Japanese speakers. And trying to transla...

Re: Sundown [Supernatural GxB] What Do You Think?

1) What do you think of the story? 2) What do you think of the characters? Who's your favorite? Least favorite? Why? 3) If there were to be a Kickstarter, would you donate? Why? 4) Any suggestions/questions/comments/whatever else? 1) I don't dislike the premise, as there's nothing wrong with it. It...

Re: The Letter [Horror][Steam Greenlight](Updated 10/17/2015

1. What do you think of the concept/story so far? Do you like it? Hate it? Any comments? 2. What do you think of the major characters? Do you have someone you like in particular? 3. What do you think of the art style? 4. If ever we decide to release a crowdfunding campaign for this game, will you s...

Re: Looking for a bg/scenery artist for Divinity Divide!

Try posting on Deviant Art's forums, and messaging artists whose style you feel appropriate for your game. Since you're offering paid work, you won't have a difficult time finding any takers.

I hope you get to work on more sci-fi games, I like those backgrounds the most.

You should try /r/gamedevclassifieds on reddit; artists are always getting offers on there.

Re: A GxB question: When is Enough, Enough?

Is there an unspoken "standard" on the amount of potential love interests in an otome VN? I'd say the absolute minimum is three. One interest, and it's not really a choice. Two, and it feels like a 50/50 decision where you're forced to make up your mind on who's better. Three creates a sense of div...

Re: Finding Dream Girl - multiple positions - Paid

This game sounds like it can be both informative and funny at the same time; sounds like fun :)

What are the requirements for writers/idea bouncers to apply?

The text box looks fine to me. But the buttons are hard to read because there's no negative space.

Re: Sickness [Crime/Comedy/Romance][Steam Greenlight]

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you have a commercial game on Steam, they don't let you host it on other websites like itch. You might want to double check on that.
