Re: Writer who loves her job [free/paid][Open]

That Yuri game jam thing is still going on, if I'm not mistaken. Pretty sure that falls under the category of what you're generally looking for (if you don't mind yuri). You should try looking into that, and see what's available.

Re: Nostalgia: Two Worlds | One Soul [Drama/Suspense]

You're very welcome :) Always glad to help out great ideas like this game. You have the right idea on polishing the demo more before you release it. My team is currently doing the same. While we could technically release a demo now, we're waiting until we have more, and better content to show. Here'...

Re: What's your favorite "punk" when it comes to sci-fi

Oh, we certainly have our anxieties. You made a nice bullet list, and while I don't pretend to be so socially aware, there are concerns I know are unique to my generation. I was born in the early 90's, shortly before the internet really took. Even if I was a kid, unlike today's kids, I still remembe...

Re: Nostalgia: Two Worlds | One Soul [Drama/Suspense]

1) People LOVE early access to demos and final copies, so consider that. 2) An art book of some kind that has concept designs. 3) Some form of additional dlc. Have to use your imagination on this one. 4) Merchandise like shirts, mouse pads, coffee mugs, phone cases, etc. 5) A chance to design someth...

Re: What's your favorite "punk" when it comes to sci-fi

Well then, to clarify, I still enjoy futuristic-style stories. Things of sci-fi nature. But I stand by what I said earlier, about not liking the cliche oppressive government/police state. And then when you add space-exploration, it's usually about stopping some galaxy-wide threat. As for stuff like ...

Re: What's your favorite "punk" when it comes to sci-fi

I'd say Cyberpunk, as well. But not so much the 70-80's version, where floors that moved you around and flying cars where like the apex of technology. As our current technology grew, so did the writers' ideas, hence, why I like the more modern versions of cyberpunk more, because there's more innovat...

Re: Preference in Choices

I believe a balance of the two is necessary in a story that relies on choices. As for what's more interesting, it would be choices where the results aren't immediately apparent. If I don't have to stop and think about my decisions like I would in real life, then it's less of a story, and more of me ...

CG artist.
Then you'll definitely want to try Deviant Art, or even /r/visualnovels. That's usually where you'll find people experienced in CG art. I'm sure there are other places, but those are the two I know of.

You can also try Game Dev Classifieds on reddit, as well as a post in the forums of Deviant Art. Usually volunteers are hard to find, but since you're offering paid work, you should have less trouble.

Re: Decontructing GxB genre

This rings more truth in the BxG genre, where occasionally you'll get 'gotta sleazebag 'em all' MCs. If we're discussing the absolute typical GxB JVN, the foundation is closer to 'being discovered'. The MC is usually a normal, somewhat mediocre character who finds herself getting attention from guy...

Re: Decontructing GxB genre

What is a "typical" GxB VN? The girl is very cute, intelligent, and has one hobby she's really good at like music or art. But she's seldom confident. Then either by random chance, or going to the same job/school as all these boys, a diverse range of guys suddenly fall for her during their various in...

Re: Let's pool together and pay artists to create CC-BY bg a

I think Katta had the right idea. It would be better to pool together some of your own money, so you can afford artists that agree to regularly produce content long term. That way, you have something to show on patreon. There's plenty of crowdfunding platforms out there if you want to give that a tr...

Re: VN Scene with no Art/Graphics?

Not as a first scene. This is also something I learned to avoid in regular novels: jumping into a scene without knowing the context of what's happening. The only time I use that method, is when I plan to jump back in time, to the events that led to the scene. In this case, I'd supplement with things...
