Re: Survey for players
I've answered it, but I think you should perhaps say that you are aiming at a public who play +18 romance/harem visual novel? Because, I do feel like I wasn't the intended audience... ^^'

Re: About copyright
You could also get a copyright transfer This means the artist no longer has any legal claim to the artwork. This usually costs more, but gives you the ability to have full rights over the art. The artist is still the creator, but you can choose whether to credit them or not. Warning: In some countr...

Gijinka are pretty cool, I like that concept too! It is true that, objectively, using the real brand name, even on a free project, is illegal. However, I highly doubt that big companies would sue you for a free novel with gijinka of theirs consoles. It's a little like with fan-art. Objectively, it's...

Re: Gender and personality of the protagonist bias
I don't like "empty" characters either, but I have no problem with gender. Nor with personality, as long as they have one. I read "visual novels" like I read a novel, so, the main character need to be compelling.

Re: should I make my game an EA with no characters
Personally, I don't play early access games even when it's good because I prefer to experience games when they are completed, when they are as intended by their author. So, if the game looks interesting, I'll just come back later to see if it's finished. I'm even less interested in an early access v...

Re: Enrich a dialogue only experience
I don't know if it's because I'm a little tired, but I'm not sure I understand your question. °v°' You want to have different dialogues without a player input? You can use randomness for that. (You write a few possibilities and make renpy choose one at random) You want to have different dialogues th...

Re: How much of the game should be in the demo?
Is it meant to be a fun standalone that people will keep circulating and playing on its own whether they ever get the full version or not? I love the "standalone" kind of demo so much! Not a lot of game do it, but as a player, I think it's great that a demo can be a "bonus content". Like the demo f...

Re: How should I...start?
I don't know how good you are with drawing with a pencil, but I can assure that I wouldn't mind traditional art in a visual novel. Of course, it means there's different process to follow, since you won't have transparency easily. Taking photo is a big no, but there's copy shop that would scan it in ...

Re: Game with Typed In Conversation
That kind of game are fun but the illusion is quickly broken if a lot of sentences are not understood by the character.
I like them for a short story, for a little "new experience". However, for a more complicated/long story, I prefer pre-defined choices.

Re: Selling an anime game project
I agree with Kia. There aren't a lot of people who would continue someone else project for free, so for $610... °~° If you still want to sell it, here's some advice, if you want them. There might be too much "preview only" text on the sample picture, I can barely see what it looks like. I understand...

Is that question aiming at game's programmer? Or at writer/visual artist/sound artist?

Re: I made a website full of creative commons resources
Oh, it's so wonderful! The site is really easy to use (with filtrer, and all), and I've always wanted something like this where you can see everything easily. I'm looking forward seeing it when it will be finished. (By the way, it would be really nice if the search button allowed to search for the a...

Re: What do you like in a VN protagonist?
I like main character in visual novel to be like a main character in a novel. I don't want a bland personality so I can "project myself". I want a "real" main character, well-written, with their past, their personality, theirs goals, ... So, now is the question... What do I like in a novel protagoni...
