Re: Binding gamepad button to history screen (or other screens)
Thank you! Unfortunately, that code didn't work, because it complained that "history_open" wasn't defined. Apparently you can only put names of existing Ren'py events or keys there (not create new, custom ones). That thread you linked did nudge me in the right direction, though. I got it working by ...

Binding gamepad button to history screen (or other screens)
Like the title says, I'm trying to map the Y button to the history screen (and the X button to an encyclopedia screen), but I couldn't really figure out how to do this. As far as I can tell, https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/keymap.html only lists game_menu , not any other kind of screen. How would I g...

Re: Steam Achievements Issue (and Overlay)
Alright, so the full list of things you need to do is the following. Somewhere in your code, include: define config.steam_appid = 0000000 (Replace 0000000 with your actual app ID) And also: init python: achievement.sync() achievement.register("KITTY_GOOD") achievement.register("KITTY_NORMAL") (And s...

Re: Steam Achievements Issue (and Overlay)
Hey there,
I'm not sure if $unlock_ach() is supported. Have you checked out this page yet?
https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/achievement.html
I got achievements to work in my game with those. Hope that helps!

Re: How (Not) To Make Money As a Solo Dev
I've definitely had a similar experience. My first commercial game had a very weak launch, but subsequent sales were pretty effective. (By now outweighing "50% of your total sales will be from the first month" or whatever other numbers are going around.) People always say that the VN market is getti...

Updated this topic to reflect the graphics of the remake , which was recently released on Steam! (It also includes the long-awaited fullscreen option, lmao.) Play for free: Steam | Itch.io https://i.imgur.com/0t6mfdq.png (The original NaNo WIP thread was left alone, so if you're curious about what ...

Re: Deep Sea Valentine [GxG][RPG][Comedy][Commercial]
The latest update massively improved the game's performance. Big thanks to the Pink Engine and its creator!
It also added a bonus story where each girl is wearing a brand new outfit. Go check it out if you get the chance!

Re: Voice bleeps playing infinitely in built projects
That did indeed fix the issue. Thank you very much!Captain Monocle wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 12:01 pmIt would seem to me you are using an outdated cookbook entry from the deprecated Ren'py documentation. I'd suggest using the updated example here to see if that resolves the issue: https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/character_callbacks.html

[SOLVED] Voice bleeps playing infinitely in built projects
I just discovered this issue in my game that, when I play it through the Ren'Py launcher, the voice bleeps work perfectly fine (they stop playing as soon as a line has been fully displayed), but if I build the project and open the .exe, then the same exact voice bleeps continue forever. This is the ...

Okay, my bad, turns out they were actually using Windows 10. I'll post it here but I can also start a new topic if that's better. I'm using 7.4.6 and a player just reported the same thing. Doesn't seem to be fixed.

Not sure if it really is that simple, but instead of "images/bgs", you could try "images/bgs/**" or "images/bgs/*.*"?

Re: How to move a Layered Image
I think you need to be more specific. What do you mean by "moving it"?
If you mean using the with move command, that works the same as with any other image.
