Re: Mugenjohncel's Quick, Dirty and Cheap Tutorials
This is ridiculously helpful. XD Although really, I'd probably need a decent amount of help with the actually drawing part. <_< I suppose that's were reference photos help a bunch.

Re: [Phase Shift]- A Kinetic Novel
Nice. ^_^ It's particularly good for a first VN.
Besides a few missing words here and there, the writing is very solid. The character sprites were good as well. The customized font was a nice touch. I can't wait for the sequel. =D

Re: STAINED ONE (WIP)
Firstly: That title screen is delightfully creepy. =D
Secondly: yaaaaaay survival horror. VN's totally need more of this genre.

Re: The Cute, Light, and Fluffy Project
This was definitely worth the wait. :) Each story holds its own very well. The final menu design is also very nice. Cuter than Fiction: I thought the sudden switch from unbeliever to cosplayer with the protagonist was a bit jarring, but I liked the concept and the art was spectacular. Nice crowd det...

Re: How many people here likes kinetic novels?
Like previously stated, if a kinetic novel is interesting enough, it doesn't really need the interactivity to spice it up, but most people tend to lean towards the interactivity. ^_^ It adds to the replay value as well.

That was definitely something different. XD I was rather torn between laughing and being horrified. I might never look at food the same way again. =P

Re: What annoys you in visual novels?
Very true. Movies, while still apt to fall into tropes, at least have a greater variety of them. XD And really, there's nothing particularly wrong with the more common themes for VNs, it's just lacking variety. If there were more different types, like some of your creative suggestions, dizzcity, (a ...

Re: What annoys you in visual novels?
Actually, I find fantasy and sci-fi the next most common settings in VNs, after school stories. Historical mysteries is something that's fairly new to the medium, though quite common in this board (because of the availability of resources). But there are so many other settings not yet tried: Cowboy...

Re: What annoys you in visual novels?
Also, there seems to be an effluence of games that center around one or a couple of settings. Twould be nice to have a wider variety. Although there's always the issue of time and manpower to deal with... I guess "school stories" is obviously one setting that's possibly overdone, what are the other...

Golden Sun.
Totally love that game. Also enjoyed its sequel quite a bit.
