Re: How to make a border on a textbutton?
I don't have time right now as I am just reading this in passing and don't have time to go through it but the documentation on Frames and Borders includes a few examples that may help. https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/gui.html#borders https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/displayables.html#Frame Alternativel...

Re: How to make a border on a textbutton?
You would need to place your textbutton inside a frame and apply borders to the frame.
Alternatively, use an imagebutton, and instead of images and use a Text("your text here") displayable as the hover_forground idle_foreground objects

Re: Multiple fonts variations in .TTF file
I think you are referring to a truetype collection .ttc file From the documentation https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/text.html#fonts Ren’Py also supports TrueType/OpenType collections that define more than one font. When accessing a collection, use the 0-based font index, followed by an at-sign and th...

Re: New game best choice: Ren'Py 8.0 or Ren'Py 7.5 ?
The main difference will be do you want to code with python 2.7 (use renpy 7.5) or python 3 (use renpy 8)

Re: Can I use images bigger than the screen?
You can, just keep in mind that the image will need to load into RAM, the bigger the image, the longer it will take to load, the more RAM it will require and the more processing power it will take to animate its movement.

Re: Help with side image witch conditionswitch
You've defined "q" as both a character object and an image. Try changing one of them define q = Character("[name]", color= "#00008B", image="mysprite") image mysprite = ConditionSwitch( "gender=='masculino'", "boy_sprite.png", "gender=='feminino'", "girl_sprite.png", "gender== 'não binário/outro'", ...

Oh I meant it was probably where you got the idea from.
Mostly I just wanted to bring attention back to it.

Re: Easy GUI??
One might suggest the tools built into renpy.
I've never used it, but the interactive director should be able to do some of the work for you, or at least teach you what you need to do.

Re: Performance issue with imagebutton hover and ATL on gl2
Are you sure you were using matrixcolor and not im.matrixcolor? Without any sample of the section where you use this, we cannot tell. I ask, because according to the changelog, matrixcolor should be significantly faster, not slower. While previous versions of Ren’Py supported the im.MatrixColor() im...

Re: "For Personal Use Only" glitch
As stated above, the issue is that you're using a font with a license that restricts embedding and distributing. I never knew fonts actually had the means to enforce that. Your options are pretty limited here. Either buy a license for the font (could get costly) or find another font that is licensed...

Re: Performance issue with imagebutton hover and ATL on gl2
im.matrixcolor is no longer recommended since the release of renpy 7.4
See this link for details on why.
https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/changelog.html#renpy-7-4
Use matrixcolor instead.

Re: How to work with gui.properties?
You can find these default style definitions in C:/Program Files (x86)/renpy/renpy/common/00style.rpy Ah, okay. I don’t really want to have to look in 3 or more places (screens.rpy, gui.rpy, and 00style.rpy) to decipher how the styles work — do you think it’s worth it? I guess I’ll just have to fig...

Re: How to work with gui.properties?
You can find these default style definitions in C:/Program Files (x86)/renpy/renpy/common/00style.rpy Assuming you installed Renpy to your C drive I do not recommend editing the files in renpy/common, instead if you must edit things, copy the file to your own project, and save it with a different na...

The linked youtube video appears fairly convincing that its using 3D rendering, as stated.lobotomista wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 6:15 pmthe bitsawer solution is 2d not 3d, if you want to do something similar just use live2d
