Re: Where is the screen "_exception" kept?

Part of Renpy internals, not something you should mess with.
It isn't in the common folder.

The formatting won't be of any use as it isn't standard renpy language.

Re: What kind of song is this (genre, etc.)?

What you're looking for would probably be considered "ambient", "tense", but also "soothing"

I don't think it has any real 'genre' it fits into

Re: Change the color of the dialog boxes

Styles are defined at init phase, so you can't do it like that.
One way would be to use renpy.set_style_preference

Re: Saving images within Ren´Py?

There's always the screenshot button (s), which can be modified to capture only a specific area, and there are threads on doing that, but I can't find any at this time.

Re: How to fade music that is playing when a save is loaded?

I can't accept "impossible", so I came up with this: Edit the button found in the file_slots screen to this action Call("force_load_delay"), FileAction(slot) Add this to your script label force_load_delay(): stop music fadeout 2.0 $renpy.pause(2.0, hard=True) return And done. Naturally it has some ...

Re: Is it possible to make a minigame that when you press a key before the right time you lose?

Sure, this is can be really simple using renpy screen language (but it can get really complex depending on how you're using it) All you need to do is create a screen, add a button, and assign an action to the button. Then, add a timer, and make another action happen (or hide the screen, depends how ...

Re: How to fade music that is playing when a save is loaded?

This is something I'll keep in mind.
Shame the proposed idea didn't pan out.

If I ever come across the issue myself and find a fix, I'll be sure to post it.

Re: How to fade music that is playing when a save is loaded?

If after_load doesn't do the trick, have you considered adding the action to the load button action?
You may need to give it some time to execute its behaviour before the loading actually takes place, and the order of events would be important.

Re: Make + doesn't count as a sentence break in text

Looks like it only breaks at the boundary of the text box. I don't know why it isn't considered a single word though. A hacky fix, which isn't ideal, would be to manually set the line break point for each line this happens on, by inserting \n where you want the line break. (may be \N - I can never r...

Re: Renpy.pause()

Unless you have specific need, use pause instead, you can add a delay (useful for when making ATL animations or other similar uses) or leave it indefinite (until the user clicks to advance the dialogue dismiss the say window) "this is some text, it won't advance until you click somewhere." pause "Th...

Re: "Tab characters are not allowed in ren.py scripts" error

Not stupid, just unaware.
It's hard to tell the difference between a tab and four spaces - they both look almost identical.

Re: "Tab characters are not allowed in ren.py scripts" error

This usually means the blank space was made using the tabulation key on your keyboard (better known as tab) and this has destroyed indentation.
Ren'Py doesn't accept tabs as indentation, use groups of four spaces instead.

Re: Click to continue icon

In that case, use an image tag at the end of each line {image='my image.png'}
But you'd have to do it for every line manually.

You could probably add it via character callbacks, but I have no experience with that.
