Are you setting config.rtl = True in your game? That's needed for proper arabic text shaping support. Please try:
Code: Select all
config.rtl = True

Displaying Timer on Screen
Hello, I'm trying to display a timer on screen, which I managed thanks to a code snippet I found here. This is the timer. init: python: # This function will run a countdown of the given length. It will # be white until 5 seconds are left, and then red until 0 seconds are # left, and then will blink ...

Arabic diacritics (Tashkil)
Hello, I don't know if this is the right place for my problem, so I'm sorry if it isn't. There is a problem with how Renpy handles "tashkil" for Arabic language. arabic problem.PNG The word that's underlined is where the problem is. Whenever I use "tashkil", Renpy will disconnect the letters and pla...

Re: Special Text box position
Can you check the textbox image to see if it's got invisible pixels to the left? Also change the left_padding to left_margin: margin is space outside the element, padding is inside. So by having left padding, what's inside your window will be shifted 160px to the right, but not the window itself. S...

Re: Special Text box position
Try to replace "style say_window:" with "style window:". You have "style window is default" in your code which should mean that "window" is what controls textbox. I tried, It doesn't work. These are screenshot from the displayable inspector The first one shows a window that uses the "say_window" st...

Re: Special Text box position
Can you run the game, hover your cursor over the narration textbox and do a Shift-I? It'll bring up the displayable inspector along with the styles applied. Click on the styles to inspect them one by one, look for xalign or xpos properties. That may help you identify which style is causing the prob...

Re: Special Text box position
What's the code to your say() screen like? Where does the namebox normally go? The say box basically just skips over the namebox window normally so if your namebox normally takes up space, then I can see why the dialogue window gets pushed to the left if the namebox is empty. Need the say screen co...

Hello, I have been using an older version of Renpy & I just decided to update to the new version However, I have been running into problems with the new GUI. Re: IOS Build?
Built my game for IOS & I got as far as launching the game. However, once I click "start", the app closes. Re: IOS Build?
Hm... I think you do. It might work on Linux, but it's unlikely to work on windows due to file permissions problems. (That's not this issue, which seems like your projects directory could be weird somehow.) Thanks for the reply. I have built the xcode successfully on Mac. However, I then discovered...

IOS Build?
Hello, I'm trying to build an IOS version of my game. I thought that I'll create the xcode project on my PC and then transfer these files to a Mac. However, I got this error when I clicked "Build Xcode Project". Capture.PNG Am I doing this wrong? Do I need to build the project directly on a Mac? Tha...

Re: Building An Android Version
Is there any bug in this version of Renpy (6.99.12.2)? Yep, Tom has answered how to fix it here . There might be another one related to video on Android too. Nobody answered it yet... I assume, Tom is quite busy with v7 right now. Thank you so much. The fix Tom suggested in your thread solved my pr...

Re: Building An Android Version
So I had my game working fine but then I updated Renpy to the latest version (6.99.12.2) and now my android version skips the movies in the game. I don't get any error messages but the movies are not played at all. I'm using this line of code: $ renpy.movie_cutscene("SecondCandle.webm") Is there an...

Re: Building An Android Version
You say it worked once before with webm, I'm just curious. How are you creating the webm files? Are you using the correct codecs? Yes, it worked when I built with the previous version of Renpy but since I upgraded to the latest version and then built the android version, the videos don't play anymo...
