Re: Image "Following" Curved Path
Wow, perfect!! Much much much simpler than I anticipated!
Thank you very much, gas!
And yes, excellent game! I never knew Ren'Py would be flexible enough to enable me to make it.
Loving this engine more and more each day, haha!
Thanks again!

(Solved) Image "Following" Curved Path
Hello, I am currently figuring out how to program a Map Exploration system similar to Final Fantasy Tactics. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-QebsXov1U0Y/TY1xuFB1oxI/AAAAAAAAAbM/RbwHJyHxoA8/s640/ivalice_map.gif -Image from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance I'd like to use this Map Exploration system f...

(Solved) Starting Position of Image in Viewport
Hello, I have a Map that is 1600 by 1200 pixels. I created a Viewport to display the map, and I can drag around and it's all good. How can I make the screen display the CENTER of the map when originally loaded? Currently, it always defaults to the top-left part of the 1600x1200 pixel image. I need t...

Re: Showing/Changing variables with ui functions.
Could be many ways to achieve that. Have you tried using "clicked=ui.returns(String)" where string is the value to return when the specific button is selected, and then evaluating the user's selection in the script? Might be more information here: https://www.renpy.org/wiki/renpy/doc/reference/UI_Fu...

Re: Renpy became buggy?
Could it be possible that your code is never reaching "jump repoptions" due to the presence of "call hideaffscreen"? Call vs Show means that the Call will pass control to the screen. Until the screen returns, the control won't move to the next thing on the list (hide screen and then the jump). I don...

(Solved) Editing Renpy Documentation (Renpy.Org)?
Hi, odd question. In the documentation for SetVariable on the site: https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/screen_actions.html Is there a way to update this information? When there is a bug, the error log Ren'Py provides, sometimes refers to 00* renpy files, and not directly to the code the user wrote. In t...

Re: [Solved] Do Code on Button Hover?
Excellent! That is really good news than! I won't be anywhere near 1000, I am structuring everything very elegantly as I want to easily be able to add any form of content with ease using dictionaries in separate 00*.rpy files. I guess right now I am building upon the Engine more than anything. Great...

Re: Do Code on Button Hover?
Excellent, I will clean up the menu tags if they are not necessary. My issue is most likely definitions, because I am declaring most after label start, and static entries using define. This solves many other quirks for me with save/load especially concerning objects within dictionaries, as well as c...

Re: Do Code on Button Hover?
Hmm, most of the code is just screens at the moment. Could it be the fact that I have not jumped at all to scripts.rpy since label start, and since the first screen was called? I'm essentially going from screen to screen here, I'm not using scripts.rpy yet. Trying to reserve scripts.rpy for certain ...

Re: Do Code on Button Hover?
Thank you for all of the help! I have a technical question now, regarding this specific functionality. For some odd reason the screen will not update with the following: SetScreenVariable SetVariable The only thing that works is SetField using an object defined at label start. Only the objects have ...
