Re: I'm facing a stone wall on how to finish my visual novel
On the one hand, I would normally encourage someone to write what they want to write without worrying that anyone will judge them for it. Personally, it doesn't bother me at all when some of my friends write weird and dark stories. It's just fiction - writing a character doing something violent cert...

Changing the size of a layered image
I'm trying to learn how to use layered images for the first time, and the images I'm layering for the sprite are all a bit bigger than I need them to be. I'd like them to be a bit smaller in-game, but I'm not entirely sure yet exactly how much smaller, so I'd rather resize the way they're displayed ...

This sounds really cool! I love weird supernatural small town settings and romance options of different genders. Good luck with development - I'm looking forward to seeing the character art!

Re: Looking for a visual novel
This might not be it because the title is different, but I wonder if you might be thinking of Rose of Winter ? Its art style is more cartoony and you pick between four different character routes right near the beginning. I'd recommend it either way since it's very cute! As for other VNs with distinc...

This sounds really cool! I love yuri and vampires, and the monochromatic aesthetic looks really nice. Good luck with development!

Re: Picking A Game Name
Players solve a mystery using an interactive website for girls. It's set in 2005. It's probably going to be hard for anyone else to come up with specific title suggestions based on just that general concept, but it sounds to me like looking into some internet slang and other things that were popula...

This looks really cute! I love Felix's design - his hair is awesome. Is he intentionally named after Phoenix Wright, or is that just a coincidence?

Re: Egypt: Shattered Order [Alternative History / Political Simulator / Strategy]
This sounds really cool! I enjoyed all three games you said it's a mixture of, especially Long Live the Queen - anything along the same lines as that sounds great to me. I'd love to see some of the art and more details about the main characters as you continue to work on it.

Re: Opinions on Player Data Tracking
You can also contact a player by private message to ask them questions and get more in depth feedback than "It was great !". Personally, I would recommend against that method. I really dislike getting DMs from strangers and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I actually once had something like this happ...

Re: On Tyrano Builder, how add an option,CG and quit button on the main menu and how to change the image of the main men
It's been a while since I used TyranoBuilder, but I found a couple threads in the steam community for it that might answer your questions:
"How do I add new buttons to the menu?"
"How to end a game?"
"How do I add new buttons to the menu?"
"How to end a game?"

Re: Opinions on Player Data Tracking
I can definitely see how it would be interesting and tempting to collect as much player data as possible, but I think you'd be missing out on a lot if you started relying on just the data and your assumptions about what it means in order to make decisions about your future projects. For instance, yo...

Re: How to promote an unusual visual novel?
I think the idea of each route being about a different kind of love sounds really interesting. If you're looking for a one-sentence way to condense all that information, I would probably say something along the lines of, "A young half orc in desperate need of money to support his family joins a team...

Re: Strengths of Visual Novels as a Medium
If you are primarily an artist who wants to tell a story with their images, VNs are an option. Here is the thing though - I think the strength of VNs is not in the visuals, even though they are called "visual". An image-heavy VN is great, but it's not playing to the strengths of the medium - here c...
