Re: Adding Border/Frame Around Game Scenes

Oh! That worked pretty great! Now I just need to work out how to make the scenes load at the top center of the screen instead of the bottom.

Adding Border/Frame Around Game Scenes

http://www.mobygames.com/images/shots/l/451209-dokidoki-vacation-kirameku-kisetsu-no-naka-de-pc-98-screenshot.gif I'm making a game right now where I really want to evoke a 90's VN feel. A neat way to do that, I thought, would be to put it in a frame like the one above. The resolution would be 800x...

Re: Utsukushii Effects (ImageDissolve tutorial)

The method mentioned above doesn't work with the new ren'py version (6.15). Since it's a compatibility code, that's probably sort of obvious. However, since this demo is mentioned in the tutorial for the newest Ren'Py, it might be nice to get an update of the compatability code. Okay, I'm going to l...

Would you mind giving us some sample lines? Also, what format do you want us to send the clips to you in?

Re: Doppelganger : Dawn of the Inverted Soul [Guide up]

This turned out to be better than I'd expected. (No offense meant by that, I just have very high VN standards.) I gladly played through it enough times to see all the endings.

Re: Looking for Coder/Artist for Otome [GxB] [Unpaid]

Aw, thank you, Kingv! I'm glad to hear that so far the script is compelling. I am a little worried that the main character might feel annoying at times, since she's just so restricted by her own social anxieties. There is no conflict at the beginning of the game outside of herself, (that might be th...

Awesome! I've already given my skype to swing. Let me know if you want it too, gulabji. The game is currently in a dropbox folder that I'll also happily give you access to. I'm not opposed to moving things over to googledrive if that will be more convenient for everyone.

Re: Looking for Coder/Artist for Otome [GxB] [Unpaid]

I didn't really think of this as an out of the box idea, Kato, but thanks! As for coding, yeah it's really time consuming. I can do most of it on my own, so I'd just want a coder to come in and maybe do a little UI work and possibly mini games. While that doesn't sound like much, I understand that i...

Re: Looking for Coder/Artist for Otome [GxB] [Unpaid]

I'm totally fine with that. I'm not even looking for CGs or anything (unless you just decided you wanted to do that.) Could I see a bit of your art though? In case your style doesn't match the mood I'm wanting to set.

Looking for Coder for Otome [GxB] [Unpaid]

Update: I found two very lovely people willing to do art for me. This game might look more polished than I'd originally hoped. Now to cross my fingers and hope my writing can match up with the nice artwork I'll be getting. http://gyazo.com/f391877ce332a592ca4e22dfdaff2735.png?1366142328 While I'm w...

Re: Roleplay Chat [Dropbox/Network Chat] [Script Builder]

I don't know how useful this will be for proper script writing, but it'll certainly be a blast to play with or use to develop game ideas. Unfortunately I wouldn't really have a particular need for it, but if it existed I would probably download and play with it anyway.

I seem to have neglected to give any details in the PM. Let me rectify. http://candyapplegames.vnovel.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/cag.png I linked it as opposed to just putting up the image so as to not confuse folks scanning the thread. The apple is the important part, and you don't have to use ...

Re: J.P. Griswold [Mystery, Sci-Fi] [Playable Demo]

I'm hoping to get some nice voice acting for the game. I've made a post for it in the recruitment thread, but I have some personal resources I can tap as well. For the sake of downloading, I might make two versions of the game. With one of them being a "light" version that wouldn't have full voice a...

Re: J.P. Griswold [Mystery, Sci-Fi] [Playable Demo]

I've been picked up for The Clover Project, an online game along the lines of My Candy Love. Progress for this game will still be happening, since the script for it is pretty much finished.

Hopefully by next month I'll have some nice character sketches to show off.

Re: Clover project - Looking for team

I agree with you on both of those points. Star Project seems to be adding a third man to the mix, but then there's the issue they have with contracts. That is, having to pay money to have more than one boy to pick from. While that's a viable way of making money (and you can get them with ingame curr...
