Reverse read feature? [Solved]
Hi, what command to I need to use to make the dialogue go backwards? I haven't found anything that seems to do this. By backwards just think of it like reading one page of a book and then turning back to the previous page instead of moving on to the next page.

Frameless textbutton? [Solved]
Is it possible to have a text button with no frame or borders what so ever? Take a look at my load menu, for each of those 19 spaces I want it to say no data to start with until something is saved there. Now if I went ahead and just used textbutton ("No Data", xpos, ypos) I'll get a horrible frame b...

Re: Which varible is the mouse position stored [Solved]
You need to use tooltips too? My code works but lacks condition switches since I haven't reached the part of the game where a scene is actually unlocked. All the code actually does right now is show that the first 4 scenes are locked (you can't recall something that hasn't happened yet) init python:...

Re: Which varible is the mouse position stored
Thank you, that's just the change I needed to make. Also I probably will go about adding a condition switch later on. I just want to get the bare bones of my interfaces working before I go about refining them. Basically I've just made the one button just to test the tooltip feature just now. Thanks ...

Re: Which varible is the mouse position stored
Thank you Aleema, the tooltip function was just what I needed. However one problem remains, the image on the left has developed a rounded blue border around it. See screenshot below. What setting do I need to change to get rid of it? Here is the code, there's probably a default varible I haven't cha...

Re: Which varible is the mouse position stored
hmm I quickly made a test code using ui.imagebutton, but the hovered command seems to do nothing take a look. First up it where the button is defined. It's suppose to return the value of 1 when the mouse hovers over the button. init python: memmod = False def memo(): if memmod: ui.vbox(xpos=431, ypo...

Re: The custom Text box I made doesn't work correctly in-game
These are the varibles you need to chage style.window.left_margin = 25 style.window.right_margin = 83 style.window.top_margin = 5 style.window.bottom_margin = 20 left margin is where you want your text to start on the x axis where 0 is to the far left. right margin is where you want you text to move...

Re: Which varible is the mouse position stored
Please explain how. I want the picture on the left to change as the mouse is hovering over the buttons on the right not when the buttons are pressed.

Re: Which varible is the mouse position stored
Please direct your attention to the screenshot below. I plan to use it to replay highlights of my visual novel. As the user moves the mouse over a particular square I want the picture on the left to change showing a scene corresponding to the button the mouse hovered over. So the picture on the left...

Which varible is the mouse position stored [Solved]
Hi, me again with another question. Which varible contains the mouse cursor's co-ordinates? I need to use it as a condition in an IF statement.
Something like.... if mouseX=236 and mouseY=142 then do something
What varible does ren'py use to for the mouse xpos and ypos?

Yes, I had to resort to doing that eventually.

Re: A question about imagemaps
That is the question I was trying to find out. $ result = renpy.imagemap (ground, selected, hotspots, unselected=None, overlays=False, style='imagemap', with_none=None, **properties): The 'ground' image is when the buttons are red, the 'selected' image is then the mouse is hovering over the button t...

Re: A question about imagemaps
Sorry, but that code also won't work. Unless you're suggesting I use lots of seperate image maps for each button. I thank you for trying though. Can anyone else offer a solution to my problem please.

Re: A question about imagemaps
That doesn't work I'm afraid. That only seems to change the initial image to the third one ie instead of unhighlighted buttons appearing red as you'd expect, they become blue and no matter what the user does the buttons won't turn red. It like the 3rd image you set in the imagemap statement overides...
