Re: Hospitalized [Horror][VN with point and click elements]

It seems to be a real good project, but a bit hard to do if you don't know what code you must use ! So it would be closer to Ace Attorney ? (I mean to present profils and it's not that; and more and more until you notice after a few hours that you forgot to take something in this place/ask someone ...

How do you feel about flipping asymmetrical sprites?

I saw a review for a game on Steam the other day that got me thinking about something. It was for a furry VN called Major/Minor and the reviewer had a lot of negative things to say about the writing but for the art they only had one critique. It bothered them that so many of the characters had very ...

Re: Hospitalized [Horror][VN with point and click elements]

That's look very nice ! I love horror games. But, is Amy a real nice person ? I think all the Amy in games are in fact bad people (one of my character is called Amy and she's an assistant, and she is here for... some reasons...) Maybe your Amy is here to kill people in the hospital ???? Th'at's jus...

Re: Hospitalized [Horror][VN with point and click elements]

Ooh, sounds fun. There's definitely a lot of horror potential in being stuck in a suspicious hospital and being especially powerless because you're ill. Is the patient going to be nameless, or do you just not have a name yet? And do we get to know why the patient was hospitalized in the first place...

Re: How to estimate a needed sound budget?

Ah, the Rate Cards are just the kind of thing I was looking for! I tried all sorts of things with google but all I ever got was people asking the same thing as me without answers or blog posts talking about hiring professional voice actors for massive scale projects that involve in person studio vis...

Re: Games with mixed art

I consider consistency to be pretty important, but I've found consistency can be a problem even in games with only one character artist. In a VN I played, each character seemed to have different proportions (and I don't mean in the way a tall person and short person might have different proportions)...

Hospitalized [Horror][VN with point and click elements]

(This is an early WIP as I'm trying to focus more on the writing and coding before doing final visuals. However, some of the assets are complete. I'll update here when I get things more polished up, and once I have a playable demo.) "Amy is the nurse who has been caring for me for the past couple of...

How to estimate a needed sound budget?

I'm currently working on a long term project with a small group of three. We're all artists and writers, and I'm the programmer as I'm learning Ren'Py and used TyranoBuilder before for small projects. But none of us have audio experience and we're hoping to in the end make a game that we can actuall...
