Re: Is Lemmesoft Dying

I still visit but I only dip in and out, and half-heartedly answer questions only because I see them being completely ignored otherwise.

Basically I drop in a little to see what projects people are working on, but the spambot problem seems fairly bad on this forum lately.

Re: Counting VN choices the easy way.

I think linting is what you're looking for?

When you do 'Check Script' from the renpy launcher it will tell you the number of menus in the game... but I'm not on the latest version so I don't know if the options have been changed or renamed at all.

Re: (Demo on Steam) Who Wants To Destroy An Alien? [Sci-fi | Dystopian | Cyberpunk | RPG/Sim]

This intro says a lot about mechanics but nothing about the narrative, and none of the screenshots seem to feature much in the way of text. Is this really a story-based game?

It's one of many game ideas I've often wanted to work on and never yet gotten around to, so I wish you luck with it. :)

Re: Protagonist/Route Preferences?

Different people will have different preferences; make the story you want to make!

I could tell you what I personally prefer but it might not be the same as the next poster, and for many of us, it really all depends on the details of how you pull it off.

Re: Nijowari: Where Angels Fall [GxG][PLOT DRIVEN][SCI-FI][SLICE OF LIFE][MATURE CONTENT] [+18]

Yeah, the spoiler thing is always complicated because it pains us as writers to ruin our own reveals. :) But especially when talking about fundraising it's often important to give more away in order to spark people's interest. It doesn't have to be too clear, though. Hints and vague out-of-context t...

Re: Nijowari: Where Angels Fall [GxG][PLOT DRIVEN][SCI-FI][SLICE OF LIFE][MATURE CONTENT] [+18]

You call it GxG up top but most of your intro is talking about male characters, their backgrounds, their hopes and feelings. Is this actually a male protagonist or BxG game? You call it 'plot-driven' and 'slice of life' at the same time. These are, as far as I know, basically opposites? Slice-of-lif...

Re: As We Know It [GxB][GxG][post-apocalyptic|romance|drama][Otome|Yuri|Visual novel]

Oh hey, I remember this! Jude was my favourite in the demo. Great work; I'm happy to see it's out now~ Just a small side note on the Steam page: it'd be good to tag it as a 'visual novel' so it can reach out to its niche audience :) I hope it goes well!! I will try to tag it as that! But sometimes ...

Re: Eastbound Stars: The Drowning Halls [RPG] [FIRST PERSON POINT AND CLICK] [FANTASY]

If you want to inspire interest, it probably helps to give more details and description. What kind of gameplay are you planning to have? You said rpg/adventure but that can mean many different things. Can you describe an example of the kinds of things the player will do? What about the characters? T...

Re: Magical Diary: Wolf Hall [Sim/RPG] [BxG/B] - Kickstarter Successful!

Lots of development updates since but as mentioned they've generally been posted to the kickstarter , the itch devlog , or to my forums . However I thought I'd come back in to show signs of how the character creator is coming along: bodytype.jpg (Wings and elf ears available as add-ons later in the ...

Re: Rockfish Island [VN] [GxB] [GxG] [Survival| Adventure | Modern] [Resource Gathering]

You mentioned the character starts with a boyfriend - is he one of the characters? Is he killed or lost in the crash? (I'm *guessing* that it's more likely he's missing because dead would be pretty depressing) I know a lot of otome fans may have trouble with what they see as a 'cheating' plotline, i...

Re: Should there be a Wiki or Database for English Visual Novels Only?

VNDB already has plenty of filter options - and there are far more languages possible than just Japanese and English. Just for starters, I commonly encounter Chinese, Korean, Russian, French, and Spanish games in there - those are just the ones I see most often, there are plenty of other possibiliti...
