Re: Is there a way to set the python calendar to a specific time mid game

Okay. That's someone's specific code and has nothing to do with python in general (this is why I was very confused by you asking about "the python calendar"). It looks like the entire point of their code is to let you advance time by specific increments. If advancing time by increments is not what y...

Re: Changing the "Are you sure you want to quit?" box for an imagemap

obligatory: is there a specific reason you want to use an imagemap instead of redesigning the box and buttons themselves, or is it just because you found a really old topic somewhere that claimed imagemaps were easy and/or the only way to change things? :) What version of RenPy are you using? The be...

Re: First frame of animation stays in background

2.0 is a fairly slow dissolve. Do you still get strange behavior if you don't have a dissolve involved? A random bit of graphic being stuck in many engines happens because you haven't properly cleared the background first. Is 'black' correctly defined? (Don't take my suggestions as super expert code...

Re: Is there a way to set the python calendar to a specific time mid game

What is "the python calendar"?

Any variable can be quite easily manually altered, so I'm not really sure what the question is.

Are you working with a particular piece of out-of-the-box code? It might help to link to it.

Re: [DEMO OUT!][Kickstarter][Sci-Fi][RPG/VN] Yomi Alliance - Sci-Fi RPG/Visual Novel

I don't think you're terrible! But you do have a few factors weighing against you in terms of comments here. 1- This forum gets less traffic than it used to! A surprising amount of topics are almost entirely the dev talking to themselves. 2- Audience. While there absolutely is an audience for big 3d...

Re: GraveKeeper's Academy [Dark Fantasy][Paranormal][School]

Curious about this one, but I don't really have the time to dig into a demo right now. Can you tell us a little more about the story? The protagonist is a student, right? Are they one of the listed characters, or a separate player-created one? I'm not totally clear if we are playing the goddess of d...

IIRC it's supposed to have some game-final assets in the post before it goes to the WIP forum proper.

Re: How to allow sound effects to play when a defined character is speaking dialogue?

Sound effects normally play while characters are speaking. No special code is needed to cause that. Usually a sound failing to play means that either you have the filename wrong OR some other sound is playing which is overriding it. (Or your sound is off.) Do you have a typing-text sound effect set ...

Re: Magical Diary: Wolf Hall [Sim/RPG] [BxG/B] - Kickstarter Successful!

Mostly by having very few CGs. :D The only CGs that the PC shows up in are the kisses, and these have the characters positioned to try and keep more focus on the other partner rather than the PC. You'll still see bits of him, and those bits will match your design (skin color, hairstyle/color) but yo...

I know the main love interests are male, but can you have any sort of side romance with your blood slave? Any f/f NPC pairings? (I'm fishing for content for the yuri curator, you see :) )

A lot of people will be very uncomfortable clicking on blind download links of unknown content. What is this that you're posting? If this is a game you're working on, can you describe it?

Re: Is is Worth to Release Your Game on Steam to Reach Wider Audience?

It's not possible to sell keys received through curator connect, people who are trying to scam you for keys to resell will ask for them over email. Any popular curator gets inundated with random terrible games that have nothing to do with their tastes all the time and just sigh and delete them, so d...

Re: [DEMO RELEASED] Unsound Minds: The Clarevine Epoch [18+][Gore][GxG][Dark][Lovecraftian][Christianity]

Congratulations on getting the demo out! Mild personal taste issue: the GUI is very, very wide. The text is thankfully not quite as wide as that, but the text is still a little bit wide for my preferences before it wraps. This is a common problem with high-resolution games, where the text often ends...

Re: A controversial question (love interest that look 15 when they're 22)

Some people will find it in poor taste, as they think anime games and fans are overly obsessed with young characters and with trying to find loopholes to excuse sexual content with young characters. A few people will 'ew that's gross' about it. However, if you've set your age at 15, post puberty, th...

Nice art style! Are you the artist? I'm not sure where you're seeing a rule about updating only every two months. The general rules say only * Do not double-post (do not post twice in a row in the same thread, unless you have significant new information) * Do not "bump" threads unless you have somet...
