In-game screen saver

I had a silly idea. Is it possible to have an image appear after a certain amount of time without clicking? Like I leave the game running without clicking for like 10 minutes and then a picture of a derpy humpback whale appears and it stays onscreen until the player clicks. Why would I want to do th...

Re: Inventory List Help Please

I've posted some code in this question that might give you an idea how to show the images and description. https://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=49216 I have textbuttons on the left and hovering shows "chapentry" on the right (in my case label, text, image). Ignore the many style de...

Re: Free Music/SFX Resource - Over 1400 Tracks

Hey, I love your music, I've already downloaded a few to try out for my nonprofit project.
One question though. Could I edit the tracks? (Speed up/slow down). Of course I'd still give full credit.

Inventory List, Show/Hide Item

I know this is a very common question, but whenever I look around for examples, they include additional things like money and stats that add to the complexity. So my goal is this. To make a list of items. The items consist of a name, an image, and a description. The items are added to the list at ce...

Writing Courtroom Trials

I'm almost finished with my first game. It's a short story based on the Danganronpa series. Basically six people are trapped inside a school. The only way to escape is to kill one of the hostages without getting caught. Basically there are four phases. 1. Set up 2. Exploration (Exploring the school ...

Looking for a specific art program

I'm looking for a program that allows me to do the following simply and without any hassle. Basically I don't want to have to master a program just to do something relatively simple. 1. Add and edit 3D shapes 1a. I want to make a circular room 2. Add my own textures to those shapes 3. Move the camer...

Panorama Backgrounds. Designing a Circular Room Help?

I would like to clarify a few things. I am not an artist. The only experience I have with art programs is a single graphic design course I took two years before starting college. (That was 6 years ago...). I have experience designing websites, but mostly on a functional level. I can make a website t...

Re: Two Questions: MC's Thoughts & Cutting Away to Other Scenes?

Italics can work, but I personally don't think they're effective enough. If I have to stop reading and think to myself "Are they saying this out loud or are they thinking this?" then you're doing it wrong. (I will admit, I personally have a hard time noticing italics...) Using italics in combination...

Re: Minimum Viable Product and Repeated Scenes

Maybe you could have the scenes that play rotate. Like instead of writing 18 scenes, you write a third of that. After one of the scenes play. Think of it like a revolver. The scenes are the bullets. After one scene is fired the next scene fires until all the scenes have been played. Then it reloads ...

Large stage - Check Empty Seating - Check (also it's a pain to render) Various views - Check Now Ehem (clears throat) these backgrounds are a bit "rougher" that your normal Uncle Mugen backgrounds because (1) I rendered them using a Laptop and (2) I need to be somewhere tonight so that leaves me ab...

Re: █████▓▒░ UNCLE MUGEN'S FREE VN (OELVN) RESOURCES ░▒▓█████

I have a few requests should you decide to accept them. Main (and super unreasonable) request A 360 degree classroom in the evening. In my current non-commercial project there is a scene where different characters debate. They form a circle in the center of the room. The camera then pans over to the...

Text Speed Discussion

One thing that I've always wondered about is text speed in games. Most mainstream games utilize scrolling text. (The text appears from left to right.) You can see this in Zelda, Mario, Ace Attorney, Danganronpa, etc. The biggest problem with this is when the text is too slow. (Many Zelda games are a...

Re: [SOLVED] How to pan background and characters together?

Thanks for the code. I played around with it for a few days and finally got it to work. it looks so good. Though getting the X positions is a bit of a headache, but it works.
