It is interesting looking through your sketches and seeing the steady improvement (in such a short period of time). Keep at it!
And YonYonYon -- your bone / muscle mini-tutorial was outstanding! Thanks for sharing it.

Re: Displaying a modal screen from a quick menu button
Ah! Thank you very much -- I did not think that I could 'hide' a screen from within that screen's definition!
I just tried it and it works perfectly.

Displaying a modal screen from a quick menu button
Hi everyone, I'm stuck on how to implement something in Ren'py. Here's what I am trying to accomplish: I want to add a button to the quick menu. When clicked, a modal screen should appear displaying information to the user. When the user clicks a 'Done' button, the screen clears and the game continu...

Re: RenPy 6.99.13 Prereleased
This pre-release looks excellent! I really like the new tutorial and some of the new functionality supported by Renpy looks very useful. I'm still a novice at this, but it is a very impressive framework. PyTom -- thank you very much for creating this and keeping it going!

Re: Formatting Text in Screen Language
Ah! Of course -- as is so often the case, it is obvious once you know the answer!
I haven't worked with styles in renpy yet. I guess that is next on the 'to learn' list!
Thanks for your assistance.

Formatting Text in Screen Language
Hi again everyone. I'm studying screen language and trying to figure out how to handle formatting of text displayed via screen language. For example, let's say I want to display a prompt / label ("What next?") above the menu options in the 'choice' screen: screen choice(items): style_prefix "choice"...

Python Equivalents
Hi again everyone.
I can't find anything in the documentation about the python equivalents for the following statements:
window hide
nvl clear
nvl show dissolve
nvl hide dissolve
window show dissolve
Do equivalents exist? And if so, is there any documentation on them?
Thanks in advance!

Re: sqlite3 with Ren'py
Hi xela -- thanks. I thought that might be the case. However, I had seen some comments by PyTom in the archives about copying sqlite3 into the project directory and thought I might have been overlooking something. I'll use JSON instead.

sqlite3 with Ren'py
Hi everyone, I'm having trouble getting Ren'py to work with sqlite3. Normally sqlite3 is included within standard Python but my understanding is that it has been omitted from Ren'py (presumably to keep the distribution packages smaller). Has anyone successfully installed / used sqlite3 with Ren'py? ...
