Well its true that people in the community are diverse, but it's probable - though by no means certain - that while one united concept would not be able to galvanize the whole community, the majority of the individual preferences would be categorize-able into a small number distinct concepts. So, if...

I put down fantasy, but meant it more in the western superhero genre rather than the swords and sorcery type. Still while the main genre isn't the romance - since people can easily reach bad endings without the romance, yet still be in that setting - I don't foresee myself using Ren'py for anything ...

Thanks for the stats/ computing aids you guys ^_^ Well lets see - the only backup in this computer is 98 pages... a little less than 1/2 of the True path. Lets set things at 1400 words per 5 minutes - 280 words a minute roughly. That gives us around 80 minutes... I count 70 menu choices at this poin...

How does one approximate a length of a game from its script?
Erm... exactly that. I've been quietly working on a script for a game, having learned some things from Broken Dawn - namely finish the damn story before you start on the art and programming - but I was reading the "second round" threads on the need for longer games and I was wondering. Would it be p...

While I think that things might appear better if both appeared to be drawn artwork, I think what tilts things in favor of the latter image is this: The first image background looks painted true, but the character looks drawn, inked and colored in pen - not painted. The sharp black outlines of the fig...

Nice job overall. :) Tight concept - like a good short story, had an economy of elements which all drove towards one goal. Some typos/grammar quibbles: lampposts tries to avoid that kind of people (should be 'person') verbose skills (should be 'verbal' - or just use 'verbosity') Also, Victoria's fir...

Heh... Since I'm from Manila, I actually got most of those terms. ^_^ If the jokes/scenarios are too locality specific though, keep in mind that they may not fly with a general, international audience. I know that an argument espousing caution in the use of 'native culture' sounds ironic in a hobby ...
