It's all situation IMO. Me? I can't write like that, purple prose ruins my writing completely, so I keep it simple, and that's the way most people write, but if you can pull it off, which most people can't, then whatever. I have always focused on character interaction, that stuff is like gold to me.

I keep it simple and use email. My artist is working two jobs, so she generally gets the most work done on weekends, which I'm okay with, gives me something to look forward to during the work week.

Maybe have her tell people the gist of what happens in every path, but have a few major things she leaves out in each one, and if the game has a main path she reveals it all.
