Dust to Dusk

What's up people! First things first! I don't want anyone to think I've stopped working on a project I announced much earlier called Asu no Arashi, it's just that the actual story has been done for a while, and since I haven't been writing I've started acting out my stories in real life (NOT good, e...

The outbox

Well, I'm a little confused about this outbox thing. It always traps all my pms for indefinate amounts of time (longest has been about two weeks). How does it work?

Re: Fighting Game

Someone did this already and released the code on this forum, although it was a few years back. It was a capcom still fighting game in python. You'll have to search the forum to find it though. Do you have even the shadow of an idea where I would find it. Though, searching blindly would probably be...

Re: Fighting Game

If you want it to integrate with Ren'Py, I'd suggest using user-defined displayables, rather than pygame. You get a similar level of control, but better integration with the main program. Well, either way, I'm going to have to gain more progrmming skill. Though, I really want to make this game, and...

Re: Fighting Game

It would have to all be programmed using Pygame, which means you would have to get pretty intimate with the Python language in order to make it work. Ren'Py allows for complete flexibility, but for anything outside of it's boundaries, you need to be able to program. I was afraid you'd say that, wel...

Fighting Game

I had an idea for a VN with fighting game elements, but have no idea of where to begin, and am doubtful I'd even be capable of makeing it work, but since both I and a friend of mine were wondering about how it would work, I've decided to ask anyway.

Re: Help with your Japanese game titles.

Its not really a character name, rather it's the name of a machine, so I think that unless it's really senseless, I'll leave it as is, if not I have a sutible replacement.

Re: Help with your Japanese game titles.

No, 天 pretty strictly means heaven when by itself, but drafting words together with kanji doesn't really work as simply as "this means this and this means that so put together they get what I want." Doing that is similar to taking the words "mic" and "hell" and then saying that the name "Michell" m...

Re: Help with your Japanese game titles.

what would 天破 really mean then. I understand that 天 can actually mean sky or void if that's the part you're refering to.

Re: Help with your Japanese game titles.

Thanks

Another quick question

would 天破 be pronounced Tenha, and does it translate to Heaven Breaking

Another thing is that I like to put Arashi in katakana as アラシ, it's another style choice beacuse I think it looks cooler with three symbols to one, and because the name really isn't meaningful.

Re: Help with your Japanese game titles.

Rather than taking sides in the argument, I'll actually use the service offered. I have a game I've been working on that I called Asu no Arashi intending it to mean Tommorow's Arashi (Arashi being a name) or Arashi of Tommorow. So, was I correct? Also, if I were to input on the argument I'd say Japa...

Re: In what form do you write?

I write novel form, or more like Fanfiction form. In reality I already have a habit of never describing any location or any character's apperance, just because I don't like to.

Re: What would you like to see in anime?

@Enigma Recently they introduced some energy attacks Well yeah, that's the Elder though, he was already a game breaker, and on a related note. I can't wait to see the Elder fight Yami's leader (I'm sure EVERYONE see this coming) I'm also proud to say that I heard a Mirai Nikki anime may be produced...

Re: What would you like to see in anime?

Even though some people may claim it isn't anime, I'd like to see a full seires for Afro Samurai (a 13-26 episode seires, all I have now is five episodes and a movie.) I'd like to see more martial arts anime that are good storywise (please no more Goku copies) and don't turn into a contest of beam s...
