Re: Attach animation to point gain/point loss
Thank you so much! Did this and it worked like a charm: def check_func3(): global rowan_nerve, rowan_nerve_old if rowan_nerve > rowan_nerve_old: my_func3("images/Nerve Icons/point gain.png", "{color=#E5DBD9}{b}[capsRowan]+{/color}{/b}", "images/nerve gain.png", (768, 1360), str(rowan_nerve - rowan_n...

Re: Attach animation to point gain/point loss
Cool! That mostly worked, however I do have one small problem now. I'm not sure how to manipulate the plus/minus points text since it's not inside quotations marks and seen as text. I want to define its size, color, and make it bold. Here's what I have: init python: def my_func3(txt, txt1, txt2, pos...

Re: Attach animation to point gain/point loss
Okay, everything is working the way I want. However, I do have one more question for it to be perfect. Is there a way to show how many points are being added or taken away? Because right now, I can only have it show if you're gaining or losing points. But what if they're losing 5 points, or just 1? ...

Re: Attach animation to point gain/point loss
I actually figured it out lol
I did this:
And the icon moves just like I wanted!
I did this:
Code: Select all
transform my_transform(t=2.0):
yalign 0.5
linear 1.0 yalign 0.3
screen test_scr(my_txt, txt_pos, t):
add my_txt align txt_pos at my_transform
timer 0.6 action Hide("test_scr", dissolve)

Re: Attach animation to point gain/point loss
Awesome! That did mostly work, however I would like for the animation to dissolve in and move vertically up on the screen for about 1.0, and the transform doesn't seem to be doing anything. Here's what I have: def my_func(txt, pos, t=4.0): renpy.show_screen("test_scr", my_txt=txt, txt_pos=pos, t=t) ...

Attach animation to point gain/point loss
Is it possible to attach an animation to automatically play whenever you specify point gain/point loss? For example, I have relationship meters that change depending on your choices, and if the relationship goes down I'd like to add a little animation/displayable that says "[character] approves" or ...

Issues with web audio and video
Hello! I’m having some issues getting audio and a video animation to play on web. With the animation, I’m using a webm file, and the screen is just black. The animation does work on downloaded files. The audio is weird, it works on android and computers on web, but if you play on iPhone or iPad on w...

Re: [renpyweb] export saves on mobile?
Interestingly enough, I figured it out. Turns out it’s because Google chrome doesn’t have access to my files and folders so it can’t download stuff to files. However, safari does so the import and export works on safari. I couldn’t figure out how to give chrome access files and folders on my iPhone,...

[renpyweb] export saves on mobile?
Is it possible to export and import saves on mobile with renpy? I know it’s possible on the computer because I have done so. However, when on mobile it doesn’t work. If I haven’t saved anything, the button does respond and tells me there are no save files to export. But if I do have a save file and ...

Simplifying transform code
Hey, so I made a specific transform that acts the type of transition I want to use for my displayables. The problem is, whenever I take the sprites off the screen, I'm finding that I have to type pause 0.3 every single time I take a sprite off the screen to give the transform time to play. So you ca...

Re: simplify personality point system
Thank you! I've adapted my code to do the points this way. And just a quick verification, how do i establish the hierarchy in case there are ties in points? i'm guessing that's done in the default spot?

simplify personality point system
Hey! So I have three personality points that I'm keeping track of which affect automated MC responses. However, the code I made for it is a little unwieldy. The problem comes when I'm specifying the heirarchy in case they have equal points. I want it to be genuine > sarcastic > aggressive; or in oth...

Re: Panning Across A Background
I ended up using this code to define a transform to do it:
Then I can say
and it'll pan from left to right.
Code: Select all
transform left_to_right:
xalign 0.0
linear 2.0 xalign 1.0Code: Select all

Panning Across A Background
I was wondering if it's possible to pan across a background without changing the image in the "scene" statement? For example, I have a very wide background that that whole screen doesn't show. Sometimes, I want to pan from one part of the bg to another part. For example, if I have an apartment bg an...
