Re: An Informational Lolita VN?

We also need more non-fiction games. If you can't integrate a story about a girl learning the ropes, try to have a mascot-teacher instead. If that can't be done, a straight up encyclopedia would work. It won't be 'fun', but it will be informative, which is most important. It may even reach the same...

Re: What do you hate about Japan?

I hate how they stand still at concerts and gawk at the musician. WTF? DANCE or something! The artist is killing himself/herself to get you to react in any way , but you're too in love with them to risk sweating to smudge your makeup. If you're a fan, the least you could do is try to act like you'r...

Re: Dream On! [ROYA SPRITE ADDED.]

BxG and BxB? You're awesome. (I'm surprised though that's there's BxB and no GxG since you probably prefer the latter) Lately I've been less interested in what the gender of the couples and more interested just in romance/good story. I think thats a good mindset to approach this when writing for cou...

I imagine other fledging lolitas/young teen girl or people interested in the fashion who know about about through anime... Usually they're the ones guides like this are written for.

Re: An Informational Lolita VN?

Funny you should mention a lolita visual novel. I'm currently in the writing stages of a Lolita slice of life game... It revolves around a girl who just wants to be herself and wear what she wants, but is struggling with whether or not to actually become a full-fledged lolita and deal with the stigm...

Re: When to announce?

Once you have the script done, and you're in that stage of making art/coding is the best time to start making posts about it I think. At least that's when I'm going posting about my projects anyway. Althoug its kind of cool when people just pop of finished products with no warning or hype. Then the ...

I point to: http://luxhime.wordpress.com/2010/06/10/the-definite-guide-to-making-visual-novels-by-an-individual-who-has-finished-many/ 2. It’s probably a better idea not to mention the details of your project anywhere. This is for several reasons. Firstly, revealing your ideas to others tends to res...

Re: In what form do you write?

There was a thread similar to this a little while ago. Hopefully you'll find something useful in there: http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7605 Generally its best to work in script format. Novel format can work fine if you're doing it like a children's book, illustrate specific sce...

Re: Simple Music Maker?

Aaaah, and here I thought all this time garageband was for recording with real instruments not computer generated sounds. Time to hit the tutorials!

Jam studio is really useful for simple chords, thanks for that! Aria helpful too since I'm classical trained. Thanks guys.

Simple Music Maker?

I've looked around newgrounds and a couple of other freesource websites and haven't found the right kind of background music for one of my projects. I'm looking to make a simple child-like xylophone/piano/tinkering kind of melody thats on the creepy side and maybe just some mood ambiance. Even a mid...
