erm, I'll try to fix the broken download.
Also, anyone have any idea about the error message and how to fix what's wrong? I've tried everything I can think of.

writing definitely matters for most RPG players. A game like final fantasy 7 for example is interesting because of the story. I'm sure that if this same story were poorly written with flat characters, etc., even the most interesting of worlds or gameplay systems would seem dull. Dragon Warrior 7 was...

"The Missing Tickets" DEMO testers needed
OK, so this is the game. The main game is 100% done and de-bugged (to my knowledge). As for the side stories: Irys's is done. Midnight's is done but I have to draw all the graphics and add some music here and there. Also, it refuses to function for some reason. coding difficulties, most likely. Bloo...

Yeah, avoid stereotyping. Definitely. While you should consider the needs of your audience, don't let it dictate everything. My next next next game looks to be something gothic and angsty (It's only at the character design phase right now) and when I tried to throw in your standard "cute happy boy" ...

I was scared too for a while.... Because I like to do everything myself I was worried that I could never make an awesome game. But yeah, a lot of people just don't see their projects through. This is my creative outlet now (and has replaced PLAYING games time-wise), something I don't feel ashamed ab...

I would personally rather wait to see your finished vision. Even if it's a long time. I usually don't release demos because people (not forum people, friends mostly) tend to start nagging me even more to finish after they've played the demo. On the other hand, demos are a good way to get feedback ab...

Stats display window issues
Hp stats window difficulties Okay, so this is related to my 3rd game. I'm taking a break from the 2nd one until I feel ready to finish it without rushing. I have two HP windows at the top of the screen, which I defined using this: python: def button_game_menu(): ccinc = renpy.curried_call_in_new_con...

You're on the right track. One of the first rules of writing is "show don't tell" and you can show a lot through dialogue. The main character could be talking to a teacher or friend and his reactions could show character there. If that's too hard to do you can always throw in an internal monologue. ...

seeking minigame programmer
Well, my efforts at making a minigame aren't exactly going as planned. I worked off the example game in the demo...... Graphics and everything are done. I just need someone who can actually work the minigame interface to do my game. It involves a timer and 2 monsters chasing each other around the sc...
