Just a rough test. I learned recently about 2D animation in blender 3d and wondered if I could combine a partially sculpted character with 2D textured planes. Will probably play around with it some more for future projects... but for now, back to Asher (which will be plain ol' 2D).

Re: Asher [Suspense/Supernatural]

Personally, I prefer to have a game in its entirety rather than have it in sections. That's what I prefer, too. My only concern is that I keep adding new artwork... so I am concerned it will drag out. However, I understand that there may be programming/file errors if you release a massive compilati...

Re: Asher [Suspense/Supernatural]

Nearly done with programming and polishing the art for Act I. I've been going back and fixing up anatomy errors and so on with the sprites a bit, but I still think I can finish it in the next few weeks. EDIT: Question for anyone who'd like to answer. Should I make the game available in parts (there'...

Re: Asher [Suspense/Supernatural]

Your VN was put on VNsNow's "Top 10 Most Anticipated English Visual Novels of 2014". Exciting! Anyway, I look forward to this (I follow you through tumblr)! I'm a huge fan of film noir...like seriously. Double Indemnity is the best, but that's a topic for another thread. ;) I saw that.. very exciti...

Re: Free wallpapers for PC - use or not use?

Creators might allow wallpapers for personal use, but "free" does not automatically mean public domain or that derivative work is allowed (as in a Creative Commons license).

Re: Asher [Suspense/Supernatural]

I fixed up the main character's sprite. She now has 132 combinations of expressions/poses, for this outfit. Oh, and a new character. new.png That background needs fixing, now that I look at it. I keep forgetting and putting the horizon line way too low. ---- @Ferdokki -- Thanks! I just finished anim...

Re: Character Feedback [critique welcome!]

Your character designs are quite eye-catching. The silhouettes stand out strongly enough that I could recognize the character by them. I think this is a nice touch for a VN. It's always confusing when characters look too similar (be it comic book, VN or animated film). You mentioned the armor/metal ...

Well that's an embarrassingly simple solution.

Thank you!

Moved the code around, but it made no difference, unfortunately.

This is looking great! I'm loving the snippets of dialogue I'm seeing, too; the writing is intriguing. :)

Hazel-Bun wrote:*screams* Coolbeans D8! Wish I'd snagged the teaser before it was taken down but I'll wait haha.
Ha, thanks!
Asher should be done in weeks rather than months, so the wait shouldn't be long. :)

Re: Asher [Suspense/Supernatural]

Work in progress sketch for what should be the last BG I need for Asher.

Re: Asher [Suspense/Supernatural][Download]

Tetriin believes that the incident is isolated, until two people who might be demon slayers or might just be opportunistic treasure hunters recruit an unwilling Tetriin on a trip into the ruins of the old palace in search of the riches of the undying Empress. Lol, I was referring to your quote abov...
