Re: Megami Tensei, anyone?

Started playing SMT Imagine... Gah, I shouldn't have done this! I must say it is very good. Thanks goodness my internet connection is crappy enough to prevent me from playing senseless amounts of time. I anyone is interested in playing just google it X3 Ah, I wanted to try Imagine, but I believe it...

Re: Adversity Comp - Visual Novel Writing Contest - Sept 201

I think the interesting thing (to me) about this contest is that it feels different from the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month in November). NaNoWriMo seems to encourage word count over quality, with the concept of just getting the writing done and leave the inner editor locked in until post ...

Re: Adversity Comp - Visual Novel Writing Contest - Sept 201

This contest was an awesome idea, I hope there are more. I just found out this weekend, but I wrote and submitted a VN for it anyway. It was one of the first I've ever finished, so I'm glad to have something like this to push me to finish. I hope we get to read the winning entries - I'm interested t...

Re: Lunar Lotus Festival [GXB][Fantasy,RPG,Date Sim, Otome]

Hey Kingv, I'll try to sit down and write out more thoughtful suggestions later, but from what I've read and played of the demo, I'm definitely looking forward to this project! Keep up the good work!

Re: Art Progression and Other Interesting Things

It's pretty inspiring to see everyone's progress, particularly with the images of the same character done over time.

Trying to learn to do background art. There's still a lot to learn, but I enjoyed doing this one. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for improvement!

Re: Analogue: A Hate Story

It'll be interesting to see how this does. I'd heard of Digital, but have yet to play it. May check this one out. Hopefully if it does well, it will open up opportunities for EVNs and VNs in general. And Jack, keep at it!

Re: What are your currents favourites?

I kinda go in and out with being into anime, depending on if I've found something good. I got into Durarara!! last summer and it wasn't bad, although the last 1/4 or so was a little weak, I thought. Recently, I'm following the episodes of Madoka Magica (which I missed the first time around, but Anip...

Re: Western and Eastern Games

I've been looking forward to their exploration of this topic. I love that they included the fact that some of the companies started with VNs and how that probably informed the way they handle narrative. (J)RPGs and VNs are what have, time and again, brought me back to the dream of making games. The ...

Re: NaNoReNo 2012

I'm in. I've done NaNoWriMo and it's been awesome for pushing me to finish works, so I hope this'll do the same for getting me to finish a visual novel. I'm not too good at art or music, but here's a chance to improve. I'll make my first goal to settle on an idea. I've had one in my head for a bit, ...

Re: Conventions?

I hope it's OK to post in this thread still. My first con was Otakon and I went for a few years in a row, but the heat, the thick crowds of people, and the downright overwhelming nature of it all were a bit much. I did go with the same friend a few years in a row, but she's much more outgoing than I...

Re: Hakuouki PSP confirmed for localization

But man, this thing has otome written all over it! Not what I usually play, but I'm still giving it a shot. So far it's all right, but it'll be hard to get past all the flowers and flower references! LOL Hats off to you for giving it a shot, BL! I haven't finished it yet, but so far it's been good....

Re: Time and Eternity (PS3 JRPG w/ hand-drawn in-game animat

I know this is a late reply, but this game looks quite lovely. I'm definitely keeping my eye on it for the end result (and since some games I never thought would be licensed have been recently, I'm optimistic that we may get this one as well).

Re: Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom

I have been wanting to play this game since seeing the anime a few years back, but PlayAsia has always been funky about whether or not it's in stock. I was so excited to see Aksys localized it and the limited edition was a great buy for about $40. I'm right there with ya otomegirl24, I don't know ho...
