You still haven't answered that question...
Funfact: The Ever17 soundtrack is smaller (1/3 or even 1/4 of that) :D!

So nope.

Re: Neglected WIP Threads

We're saying this because neither is a good method to decide whether a project contains actual quality or not (+ other problems that have been mentioned above!). You can complain all you want about this problem not being easily solvable, but that's why it's a problem :/. I'd rather take a good look ...

Re: Neglected WIP Threads

Exactly what the people above me said. Also, it's kind of like comments in WIP threads, more comments do not necessarily mean more quality. Or another example, do you know how easy crappy fanart on deviantArt could get more favourites/comments instead of a really well drawn piece which isn't fanart?...

Re: Neglected WIP Threads

...I don't think I would bother opening a WIP thread at all , if someone else on their high and mighty throne decides who's supposed to be 'pro' and who isn't. 'Beginners' I would understand because it's an objective selection procedure... but intermediate vs professional just rubs me the wrong way....

Re: Neglected WIP Threads

I meant that the story should be good, but that combined with having better art it will attract a bigger crowd. I think for best results everything should be done the best you can anyway :3. Though yes, if it fits the type of game/novel, why not? It doesn't have to be the best thing in existence as ...

Re: Neglected WIP Threads

When I wrote it, Katawa Shoujo was already in full development and had released a demo. I don't think interests shifted that much that art is considered a prerequisite to enjoying a story, and I feel people should focus their efforts on story anew, rather than pouring their all into art and visual ...

Re: The Thirteenth Year [Fantasy/Philosophical]

I tried it out and finished one playthrough :)! spoilery stuff: I liked this a lot! I loved the way you did the art; there wasn't much but it was effectively used! It was also nice to see that all the little stories together added to the big end story which explained everything. Those little stories...

Re: Neglected WIP Threads

Is that the problem of the creators or of the audience? ^_^ Actually, I believe there'll be quite a few people stalking this forum, just out of curiosity. I mean, if you post here, you must have made something special , right? Honestly, consider me a stalker of this sub-forum already. It's where yo...

Re: Rise and Fall - CH1 (Horror/Murder Mystery, 16+!)

I was very surprised by finding this game and decided to try it out, kudos for making such a project :3. Let me just spoiler tag all of this so I can talk without worrying: So far I've only played until the blonde haired boy (argh, forgot his name OTL) and the two freshmen girls were like 'Yes! Let'...

Re: Neglected WIP Threads

Mh... all right, but how would you get traffic into the other two groups then? What about the third group with all x all? Those are games done so that they can appeal to a wider audience, yet here they will be put in the forum with the least audience, right? Since men/women who want to look for roma...

Re: Neglected WIP Threads

^ If you put informative yet short descriptions below those forum names (stating what can be found in there), then that might work yes. The only thing I would fear for is GxG and BxB getting neglected a little more even if you do it like this, but I'm not sure if this would happen.

Re: Neglected WIP Threads

I agree, no need to be sad. This is a discussion... on a discussion forum, makes sense ;p? In the end it might prevent a big mistake to be made. I saw the genre division somewhere here, which actually sounds decent. If you make this division then it will reduce the amount of topics in one forum incr...

Re: Neglected WIP Threads

However, it might be a useful split to divide up so that you had "Project Announcements" (where you can do the 'I'm making a game and it's going to be about X and here are some pictures of the characters!' stuff) and "Work In Progress" where you post an actual game in progress . That is, a demo see...

Re: Neglected WIP Threads

I suspect that the only people you could really get to look into games that have gotten less attention are those who are interested in finding something new and different, anyway. It would be a lot more effective to have a place specifically for those who want less popular to thrive than to try to ...

Re: Neglected WIP Threads

I also don't want to force people to label and tag their games. However, offering a "ren'ai" / "non-renai" distinction will allow each game-maker to decide where to put a project. I believe that having a choice is a good thing; don't you too? No, I don't: I don't believe that. I've seen the same th...
