A Mac is a PC and Win32 is not.

From what I can tell everything seems to work fine -- although scaling/rounding errors aren't really noticeable on sketches.

Re: Rise and Fall - CH1 (Horror/Murder Mystery, 16+!)

I want to be honest. Do you know what's keeping me from downloading that game? ★★★★★ TECHNICAL FACTS ★★★★★ ☆ ~700MB in file size Yup. Just that. I know for a fact your script file can't be that large, and you're probably not using BMPs for art, so you're using tons of badly-compressed music. Had to...

What Intel chip specifically? Every Intel graphics chip I know supports at least 2048x2048.

Re: Large background image: Out of memory!

22000 * 15000 = 330000000 pixels
4 bytes per pixel * 330000000 pixels = 1320000000 bytes
1320000000 bytes = 1.23GiB

The image is stored in memory 2~3 times, so 2.46GiB~3.69GiB total.

32-bit Windows programs have a 2GiB per-process limit unless compiled with a special flag.

Re: A Good Quality Laptop for playing Visual Novel games mos

Great PC rig costs about 2000$. You can build a decent one for 1200$, but it won't be that powerful. Don't forget you can't take those with you. More like $500 -> decent, $1000 -> great. For $500 you can get a decent quad core with 8GB RAM. A $1000 PC is good enough to play new games on very high g...

Re: A Good Quality Laptop for playing Visual Novel games mos

To conclude - for a few times less money you would need to spend on a decent PC rig, you get a good, very mobile, small and lightweight netbook with a very long battery lifetime, that offers you possibilities that aren't generally lesser of such a PC. "a few times less money"? I find that very hard...

dual-core Intel Atom D525 processor, with a 1.8Ghz speed; despite two cores, it supports multithreading with 4 threads (each core handles two threads). Each core "handles" two threads, but executes only one at a time. Also, despite having two cores and a 1.8GHz clock rate, the Atom D525 is one of t...

Re: Couple of questions regarding a new VN in creation

There is no English-language market to speak of for visual novels of any sort. Unless you count the 15,000 "Another Code" games, or the 20,000 "Hotel Dusk" games, or the hundreds of thousands of Ace Attorney games sold in the English-language market. And "999 Nine Hours Nine Persons Nine Doors" eve...

Re: Couple of questions regarding a new VN in creation

Currently, we are deciding between kinetic or interactive. I prefer kinetic because you have much more freedom, however is their as much of a market? There is no English-language market to speak of for visual novels of any sort. We plan on having it where throughout the normal portions of the game,...

Re: Sentou Gakuen - Online Visual Novel and MMORPG

Where's the MMORPG part? All that's described is a browser-based stat grinder and a single sentence that MMORPGs also have stats. Hmm, let me see Based on Wikipedia Massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) is a genre of role-playing video games in which a very large number of players...

Manga doesn't have color/audio.

Re: Is the use of an Installer such a big deal?

But I guess big games that span across multiple DVD and as big as 5+GBs couldn't use simple ZIP files... or it can? Technically possible, but your unzip program would need multispan/ZIP64 support. I really annoys me when installers require admin privileges for no discernible reason... at least .zip...
