Visual Novels to Recommend to New Writers?
I've just had the unbelievable good fortune to receive a writing submission from a published (eBook) author whose work is right up the alley of our project. The only problem is, this writer doesn't have extensive experience playing visual novels or other branching narrative works. I want to give him...

Re: [BL] Writers, Pitch A Script to this Programmer/Artist T
Wow, we've gotten some really excellent submissions! It's going to be really difficult to choose between them. The artist and I will meet up soon and we'll let people know by late next week. Do any of the people who have applied live in California? I'm in CA but I'm flying back to Pittsburgh, PA on ...

Re: [BL] Writers, Pitch A Script to this Programmer/Artist T
There's always the next game! As a producer, I don't have strong preferences... I'm sure I'll eventually make a visual novel that doesn't involve hot boys kissing! ^_^

It's really better for everyone if the artist is drawing what she loves!

Re: Writers, Pitch A Script to this Programmer/Artist Team!
I've received some very nice submissions so far... any more contenders before we do interviews?
I recommend your writing samples to contain good dialogue, and have at least one sample with branching narrative.

Nope, just pitch some of your ideas to us, and back them up with a writing sample and a link to your portfolio.

Re: Writers, Pitch A Script to Me!
Dim Sum: As the advice at the top of this board goes, ideas are worthless, haha. I'd much rather have a writer with a story they're passionate about, than suggest someone write me a specific story. The pitches there are some silly ideas I picked off the top of my head, or were the basis of other pro...

Excellent suggestions, not just for visual novel recruitment, but for any gamedev recruitment. If you can't do any of the work yourself, no one will respect you to lead the team.

Re: Perfect ending even with dead MC?
Sounds like a pretty cool idea to me, I love it when my preconceptions and expectations are stymied. I think it would be awesome if one of the best endings of a VN was for the MC to die. I'd choose that kind of ending only if I loved the other characters in the story so much that I felt it was worth...

[BL] Writers, Pitch A Script to this Programmer/Artist Team!
Lilinn and I are interested in finding a skilled writer who has an idea that they're passionate about turning into a visual novel! If you can provide us with an interesting script, we can program and illustrate it. I'm looking for high-concept, unusual and interesting story concepts, like: *Human sp...

Re: Kitty Love! [or: Queer Catboy Love Triangle Disaster!]
Kara, thanks for the feedback!
Destiny, there should be a walkthrough for the two CG's you're missing, as comments on the Wordpress post! Sorry, I missed your request, I'm sure you've moved on to bigger and better things by now. ^_^

Re: Kitty Love! [or: Queer Catboy Love Triangle Disaster!]
Hello there! That sounds like a strange error, I've never seen it before... thanks for the advice on the GUI! We'll keep that in mind for our next game. What specifically would you like to see? If you're trying to get both boys at once, that can be difficult!! You need to treat them both right durin...

Re: Yaoi or Yuri? [Successor to "Kitty Love"]
We're underway in the character design phase, now. I'll post some graphics once the art starts flowing in. :-3
The plot involves some cat girls on a camping trip, and a bit of good-old-fashioned meddling. Can't wait to see what the writer and artist come up with!
