Re: Kitty Love! [or: Queer Catboy Love Triangle Disaster!]
Colt's Special Flag is triggered by a particular dialog path when having "the talk" with him. It's not easy to do, and the flag itself isn't particularly important. It used to be a requirement for one of the endings, but it made the ending so hard to get that we softened that requirement. ^_^

Re: Yaoi or Yuri? [Successor to "Kitty Love"]
I think it would be neat to have a serious character who cross-dresses back and forth. No one knows the character's true gender, people react differently to them depending on outward gender.

Re: Yaoi or Yuri? [Successor to "Kitty Love"]
I tried to write a comic book where the 2 protagonists were ambiguously gendered. It was hard! I ended up just having people refer to them as male but leaving it ambiguous what their actual genders were. It was fun, I'd still like to do that again.

Re: Kitty Love! [or: Queer Catboy Love Triangle Disaster!]
Thanks Psyduck, I noticed that. I think I know how to fix it.
If anyone is going to be at Tekkocon in Pittsburgh on Saturday, Kitty Love's writer and myself will be there as Kanaya and Sollux.

Re: Yaoi or Yuri? [Successor to "Kitty Love"]
The writer decided to do a Yuri to balance things out, so it's decided now. Thanks for your input!

OK, I hosted the files on Dropbox, so it should be much easier to download them now.

Yaoi or Yuri? [Successor to "Kitty Love"]
Hey guys! We've just released our first visual novel, Kitty Love, a game about a queer catboy who has to choose between two boys. Re: Kitty Love! [or: Queer Catboy Love Triangle Disaster!]
Thanks so much for the feedback, Camille! We'll take a look at the voicing code and consider making a simple option to turn it off.

Queer Catboy Love Triangle Disaster! [BxB] Deluxe on Steam?
Would people be interested in seeing a Deluxe Version of Queer Catboy Love Triangle Disaster on Steam? More endings, more romanceable characters, better background artwork, better character art, better CGs, more voice-acting, etcetera? Let me know. http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee493/rosstin2...

Auto-repeat menu option?
Hello there! We're developing a visual novel and we're having trouble finding a way to make the character auto-repeat a menu option in Ren'py. We want the main character to repeat the menu option in her own text box after the user clicks on it, but we don't want the individual scene writers to have ...

Can someone post a website with The Question or another game running thru this? I'm really interested and I'd like to see it in action.

Re: User Interface Examples or Tutorials?
Here's a basic question:
Is it possible to have two statements on one line? Stylistically it would simplify my code a lot in some areas, especially because I'm working on a small screen.

Re: Showing Animations on a Screen
Hey, kickass. That function looks like it would be helpful.
My game has extremely heavy animation, though. Like, a typical battle animation has 20 frames. Do I have to preload every single frame?

Re: Changing the titlescreen picture mid-game
I think if you declare the variable in the "Init" block you should be okay. That's typically the first "paragraph" of indentations in your "script.rpy" file. It might look like init: $ timeline = "beginning" #more definitions So far I've been assuming that all variables declared in the init box are ...
