Kuroi Games hiring for new horror themed VN.
"Lina lay down in her bed, staring into the complete blackness of her bedroom and as sleep began to take her, she could almost feel the darkness creeping closer, waiting to take her into it's delicate embrace." Lina awakens in a nightmare world. The comforts of society are gone, simply vanished in t...

Re: Horror visual novels?
Maybe it'd be interesting to have a "good' ending where the main character does not surviver. Perhaps sacrificing himself/herself to save another character.

Re: Are Stand Poses nessesary?
Actually, Kuroi Games goal is to improve in every way with every game and fully animated VNs will be on their way before too long. =)papillon wrote: But you're working with 3d, right? Careful, show characters moving around enough and your audience will start demanding you make the game fully animated.

Are Stand Poses nessesary?
As we all know, one of the mainstays of VNs is to have a character standing there against a background which you can switch out with some CGs tossed in for things that don't quite work with the characters standing against a background. So, if one was capible of making a VN entirely using CGs, would ...

Re: Horror visual novels?
Personally, I prefer a happy ending (or at worst the protagonist is barely survive alone) after a long struggle (and end the enemy using (a little bit of) brain (not pure luck or some mystical mumbo-jumbo). I totally agree about the ending. Surviving because you were smarter, braver, more skilled.....

Re: Horror visual novels?
I would LOVE to see more horror VNs. There really aren't enough of them. Actually, I think that there isn't enough of any genre of VN exept for romance/dating sims. If we want more people to enjoy VNs then I think we really need to open expand the usual genres! Having said that, Kuroi Games has a ho...

Re: Error when creating long animations
Huh... I'm gonna have to take a good look at that. I'm not sure where I could have made a syntax mistake like that. To answer Delta's question, if I'm successful this animation won't take up very much ram. I'm attempting to create more lifelike animation which uses low amounts of system resources by...

Error when creating long animations
I think I've found an error with Renpy. When I attempt to create long animations (more than 120 frames or so), crashes when it executes the script. I've included my traceback for this error. Is it something that might be fixable? Thanks!

Animation efficiency
Hello! I've been doing a lot of work using animations recently and I'm very interested in making the animations in my game as efficient as possible. However, I've run into a few questions that I hope to find the answer to. First of all, if I use an animation such as: image bg MyAnim = anim.Transitio...

Re: the question of affordable translation
It really does look like no matter how you do it, translating a game is just plain expensive... Well, I guess it'll have to be something gets done only if english language sales are good enough.
Thanks a ton of the replies you guys!
