(not story) What happened to the rhyming of the OP? Well, you can't expect from non-native speakers to have the same repertoire of words as the ones grown up with english. yeah, I know, you're joking but it's a possibility that authors are just lazy when repeating things... that's why they invented anaphora so that it sounds more... umm... professional?
