Re: Does Indiegogo Allow 18+ Games?
IndieGoGo is tricky, as I don't have any experience seeing such things. I know that there has been at least one VERY NSFW VN funded successfully on Kickstarter, as well as some erotic yaoi comic book paraphernalia. If you're not sure about IndieGoGo, I can at least say that Kickstarter doesn't seem ...

Wow, didn't expect this topic to be necromancered...ed. *blows dust*
What kind of free time do you have? The last three people interested in writing took one look at the scope of the project and bolted in fear of their lives...and jobs. And weekends.

Re: [Adventure] The Time Stones
Not dead, I swear! I just updated the front page with brand new screenshots with the characters' new looks (where applicable). The demo is being voiced as we speak, and we're only months away! (I keep saying that, don't I?)

It was a lot of fun! Once they're edited, I'll post a few photos of PyTom's panel.

That could be fun. Maybe we could do something before/after PyTom's panel.

[Position Filled] (was: Need a sketchup artist)
Are you good with sketchup? Can you take direction and create images of indoor settings? Do you want to work on a VN? Are you willing to make six or seven backgrounds of an American Community College for the low low price of $30 or so? Yep, I'm offering an obscene(ly low) amount of money to anyone w...

What kind of help would you be looking for? Like one-on-one programming help for the students? If so, I'd be stoked to help out.
Yep. People still say stoked.

Re: What made you want to be a visual novelist?
It was my story. The Time Stones was a novel that I'd attempted to finish over ten times, and failed with each rewrite. I was never satisfied with the exposition, characters, anything. When I was about to give up, I was told that there was a way for me to turn my novel into a game like Phoenix Wrigh...

I've had to research planetary movement, the ice age, the effects of nuclear fallout, time travel theory, and optical evolution hypotheses.

Re: "He said" versus "said he"
I usually use the name first, because the verb can be replaced with other ones better.
"Hello!" George exulted.
"Hello!" exulted George.
Still both correct, but I've never seen the latter.

Re: Awesome Game, Terrible Final Boss Battle
Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was a great example of this as well. The first boss of the game was infinitely tougher than the final one! Defeating the big evil at the end was just WAY too easy.

Re: Setting Terminology in Stories
It'll be tough to do without an audience surrogate, I'm sure. A technique I saw in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance used normal terms for the two species (Human and Sub-Human) as being common, until a scholar corrects the main character, informing him that their technical names are Beorc and Laguz, res...
