Re: Omni's Occasionally-Draw-Other-People's-Characters Topic

Yeah, it's the cool delinquent in Doppleganger. I'm on a 'character-least-likely-to-receive-fanart' kick and Lee is apparently pretty popular, so I'd rather not draw Lee. If you've got another favorite character from another game or have a character from a game of your own you'd like art of I'd prob...

Re: Omni's Occasionally-Draw-Other-People's-Characters Topic

Gather ye round, oh children. Allow me to tell you a story of a man, bent and battered by age. A man who lost everything, including his hair. A man who, despite this, dutifully maintains the one glorious crowning laurel allotted to him in all the world. http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq3/Muskete...

Omni's Frequently-Draw-Other-People's-Characters Topic OPEN

Title self-explanatory. I want some pen-drawing practice, thus I will occasionally frequently draw other people's characters. This is not a request thread. But if you have a VN or KN, you may one day see a drawing of your character in this thread, out of the blue. Let's kick this off with one of my ...

Re: What is your opinion about using 3D art?

There is some amazing CG art out there but yeah, most of the time it's going to fall into the Uncanny Valley. Part of the reason for this is that the more realistic art is, the higher our expectations of verisimilitude/accuracy becomes. In fact, cartoonish designs are a very easy way to get maximum ...

Re: Pickles and Strawberries[DEMO~ :D]

I like the idea of having 4 possible POV protagonists in a game, which should be especially interesting if this becomes as much of a game of romantic musical chairs as I suspect it will. Will the perspectives switch randomly as in the demo, or will we be able to choose which perspective we want to p...

Re: The discrimination of OELVNs?

Having OELVNs that are set in Japan is crazy overdone by now, but like anything it could still work with a good execution. Of course, it's much easier to write something good from what you know. If I had to write a visual novel about astrophysics because in some alternate universe it was the VNs abo...

Re: Should there be choices if there's only one love interes

If there's a crazy situation and only two endings (don't get the girl counts as a choice in my mind), sure, have choices. Maybe the nature of your responses is what determines whether or not you get the girl, plus just seeing what comes out of how you respond to choices could make for interesting re...

Re: Forever Alone: Nerds the Gathering [DEMO UP 10/8/11]

Sunlit-Dreamer: Fair enough! I'm not sure if I'd call these guys 'normal' (aside from maybe Kurt), but they likely lack in the manpretty department. :P Snow Blossom: Haha, it seems like a lot of the reason why people like Matthew is because of that expression. It makes me glad I made slightly differ...

Re: Corpse Party:Blood Covered to become Localized

Whoa! That's some gorn all right.

This game looks pretty visceral, but is there more to it than basic shock value? :P I'm guessing there's a deeper psychological element, but it's hard to tell from the trailers.

Re: What makes a girl character attractive?

I like a variety of female characters, as long as they have something resembling a personality. Poised and refined, spunky tomboy, cool-minded warrior, introverted or sharp-witted and sarcastic. A sense of dynamic charisma is something I like to see in both male and female main characters (if I have...

Re: Wayang Kulit - A Shadow Play

This is very unique and I like the execution thus far. While there are a few grammatical errors, they don't detract from the feel of the story.

Is this an existing myth?
