Re: Forever Alone: Nerds the Gathering
Whoops, I meant to type 'Greg'. This is what I get for having characters with four-letter names and typing early in the morning. Edited!

Re: Forever Alone: Nerds the Gathering
Aleema: If I knew what section to post such a thread in I would do so at once. :P Also thank you for the death/torture threat, I need all I can get in order to continue being productive! Applegate: Not disembodied for long, just need to get all the body portions inked/colored. I still haven't even g...

Re: Infinite Game Works
I would like to jump on the demo bandwagon, or at least 'trailer'. The premise seems interesting and what little I've seen of the production values fairly high, but it'd be nice to know how it plays.

Re: Forever Alone: Nerds the Gathering
Thank you all again for all the feedback! azurextwilight, Sapphi: I'll see if there's a good place in anyone's path for creeper nerds. :P I'm still writing the script so if it flows right they could show up. Arsenic_Love: Thanks! Though as Kyminara and mysterialize said, the title is one massive ref...

Re: Forever Alone: Nerds the Gathering
Thanks for the positive feedback guys! I wasn't sure how a VN this off-convention might be received in the mixed Lemmasoft audience, so it gives me extra motivation to see this much interest. TsunLightning : I doubt I could draw moe even if I tried, but yeah, from the main protagonist to the subject...

Forever Alone: Nerds the Gathering [Nerdy Valentine 2/14/14]
SUPER tl;dr: It's coming-of-age bromance with a side dish of understated/awkward romance if you really feel like working for it. ----------- While my other VN makes slow-drip progress, I've been coming up with a constant stream of other, smaller visual novel concepts that are probably better-suited ...

Re: Endings in Visual Novels
For some reason I am a sucker for bittersweet ends and extensive bad ends. Case in point: Fate/stay night. Sparks Liner High, Sakura Normal End, and Saber True End are my favorite endings, while Rin's Good End was the weakest. At the same time, it depends on the overall tone of the story. Having a t...

Re: Do you prefer MC to have an apperance or to be faceless?
The more distinctly characterized the MC, the better it is for them to have a face, at least for VNs. KNs it doesn't seem as necessary, as they're usually stories narrated by the MC themselves. On that note, how about nameable protagonists? If a main character has a distinct personality and appearan...

Re: (P)lanets!
In the interest of doing research for my own game with GxB elements, I've been playing a lot of otome games. I like the concept of a secret school of psychics, and I kind of wish that'd been explored a little further. Teleportation, energy explosions, telekinesis, telepathy, phasing, suggestion? Tha...

Re: Dark or Bright? (Odd title yeah...)
Light with a dark edge and possible mood-whiplash. Something that is light on the surface with sinister undertones is probably my preference.
But more down-to-earth slice of life or goofy parody is nice too. Just not a big fan of diabetes fluff.

Re: Of Love and Nighttime Walks
I concur that this is the best one in the series. The interplay between Dewi and our protagonist becomes more natural with each installment, the pacing was better, and it's nice to actually see background both for the setting and the protagonist.
Also cliffhanger ending fffffffff

Re: What annoys you about guy characters in GxB?
So all skinny, androgynous guys should just go get their faces smashed in or get gender reassignment surgery. Trollolololol. That aside, the archetype of the guy who is a complete, possibly violent or ice cold douchebag only to win the heroine's heart by being nice to her once/having a sudden change...

Re: [Demo!] The World is Made of Paper
I like the different art style to this game, though the lineart is noticeably jagged. What method are you using to draw/color the sprites? From a writing perspective, I think you could afford to cut down on the adverbs. I tend to abuse them for flavor too, but they can be distracting and make a sent...

Re: Planet Stronghold (RPG/VN, sci-fi, commercial)
Just finished my first playthrough of this game. It's definitely different from most of the stuff on here and I'm surprised you were able to make a decent RPG in Ren'py. But man do I wish Psionics had an ability to raise accuracy/lower enemy accuracy. I picked guardian for my first playthrough and b...
