Re: neowired's art

Personally, I think that good art comes from time put into it. Not just because the artist tried to make it look good, but because they weren't lazy about it and took the extra time when they could have just put something together. Honestly, this that you did looks so much better than anything else ...

Re: Modus Operandi - Recruiting!

It works both ways, though. Were it an artist who started the project, I would be of the opinion that the writer deserved some sort of payment. Exactly. But sometimes you see artists on a forum and they're looking for a story to illustrate, but then they want to get paid, like they're doing you a f...

Re: Modus Operandi - Recruiting!

It's so hard to find kind people these days. XD
No one wants to draw for you to help make something come out nice. They want $5 dollars for their sketches. ):

Re: neowired's art

Wow. I like it! I think you need to practice a few things: 1) cleaner lines. IE perfect your line-art 2) practice adults/teens. meaning, try some less cute stuff. I love your backgrounds. Would you be interested in working on a project with me, sometime in the future? It's so hard to get someone cap...

Re: Modus Operandi - Recruiting!

I like the new artist's style. It's definitely derived from some anime, but it's unique in that it's got a bit cartoon in there, as well. I really like it. I might snag him/her when it comes time for my own VN. XD

Re: Modus Operandi - In Need of Artist

We should probably commission someone, but that usually costs a lot.
If we finish everything but the art, and no one has offered by that time, then I can help pitch in for the commission.

Why can't people just commit to what they say they're going to do? [huff]

Re: A new Mystery game

Ah, so this is just a little project of your own, so you can test out the system? That seems like a smart idea. It's good to get to know what you're doing, first. If you manage to start making the whole game, you should make a new thread with character information and such. You should give it a spec...

Re: A new Mystery game

How far along are you into the script? Do you have anything down? No offense, but no one is going to be interested unless you put your plot and characters down. Well, I'm exaggerating, but it's a wise idea to get those things done before you advertise. It happens: you say, 'I'm gonna make this!' and...

Re: short story

This isn't a short story. It's a small anecdote. A short story is typically over a page long. This is a few paragraphs. It was OK, but I think you should improve upon some things. Try making an outline first. This will really help make your paragraphs make sense. For example, you go straight from Ma...

Re: Games based off classic literature?

I wasn't being harsh. >m> Though it did come out that way, sorry. [fail] And, my cousin uses 'gay' wrong all the time. I hate it; it's so ignorant. Anyway, I'm not sure how dependent wiki is with those sorts of things. But, it's not like I'm gonna deny it; I have no idea what else it came from, othe...

Re: Games based off classic literature?

Well the literal, original definition of uke is someone who is attacked. xD And... He gets attacked. But in a non-sexual way. [angry buzzer noise] Wrong! Seme means 'to attack'. Uke means 'to recieve'. And it is in a sexual manner. But, I can see where you want to use that word. I roleplay a lot, a...

Re: Games based off classic literature?

Alice In Wonderland is the title that Disney gave to the story originally created by Lewis Carroll (which is a pen name, by the way; his real name is Charles Lutwidge Dodgson). But, it's pretty close to the original that Carroll had, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland . The SEQUEL is Through the Look...

Re: Modus Operandi - Recruiting

Hey. I might be interested in helping you out as an editor. I am a fairly good writer, and I'm always going around and super-checking grammar mistakes. Having more than one editor is a good idea; one may miss something and another can catch it. However, I don't know how to use Ren'Py at all; if that...

I got that same message.
Also, when I started it up, a text document appeared in the file.
It's titled as 'error', but it has nothing in it.
