Re: Need artists for a Visual Novel

I've seen a lot of projects where no money being paid is involved, that's what a team is all about. Also, the japanese names are all legitimate, although they may be a little rare. I'm going to be really straight with you. You're silly if you think that projects randomly exist that aren't done by a...

Re: Need artists for a Visual Novel

Well, a word of advice...no one comes here looking for artists that are "really bad". It's natural to want good artists. Unfortunately, mainstream "good" (which I suppose I'd call commercial quality) costs money. I don't think I can take on a project this large, myself, though. (...

Re: Need artists for a Visual Novel

I need top quality art, the stuff you'd see in a commercial VN.
What's your budget like?

Updating with new items I've done. Trying a bit of a refined painterly look to practice painterly stuff.

Free Japanese Lessons.

So, after thinking about it, I figure I have a little bit of time to give out some free Japanese lessons. I can teach pretty extensively, from beginners to pretty far advanced people. I prefer to teach advanced because it's more fun (yay, learning straight from manga), but I don't mind teaching near...

Re: Bells & Spires - New VN Horror/Suspense Game WIP

Thanks for the tip with the katakana - I spent a little while trying to work out what would sound the best and came up with putting the -ru in. -a is much better, thanks! The reason I don't do for the straight full Japanese is because I have a gripe with it. I see so many western developers making ...

Re: Shira Oka demo

Did they pay people through the entire five years? Development could well have stopped for months at a time (i.e. finished art, scripts, and music sitting around but nobody putting anything together), so it's impossible to say. When a project languishes for so long, you kinda suspect that there may...

Re: Shira Oka demo

That's what really gets me about this game. Five years of paying people and assuming that they had the spare cash of two full-time good paying jobs over that time at their disposal considering their marketing tactics... It's almost like they were so focused on getting animation, an OP video (that is...

Re: Project Organization

What I do is save the "beginning stuff" in a file by itself. Usually VNs have a beginning that always happens, no matter what route you go down, so that would be that file. Then, I stop at the breakaway point, or where the scenes will start to differ depending on route, and then save each ...

Re: Shira Oka demo

Nngh. After playing that demo, I would rather buy a second Animamundi for the crazy prices it's going for than buy that. For that price, it's extremely poorly done, and that's all I can say.

Re: Sorayume no Kaze B x G Traditional Style VN [WIP]

To be honest? I would most prefer "illusory dream", or either of the ones that yu-eriyama gave, though I think that the word "fabricated" takes away a bit of the romance-y feeling of the word, or even just "dream". There's really no "fancy" or "extra lite...

Do me a huge favor, and keep drawing clothing. While there are anatomy problems, I feel like I am going to come back in 2 years and you're going to be working on clothes designs with Squeenix or something. xD <3 Keep going omg.

Feel free to PM me if you want, you're not banned from doing so. The fact is, skydream is not a correct translation. It's not. Period.

Wrong translation and "wrong" in general are two different concepts. Don't mistake the two.
