Re: Exit/Corners [Intrigue][Episodic]

I've moved this to the ideas forum since you want more feedback on the idea of the game. :) I read the articles on your blog and found them very interesting. There's some things I'd like to comment on in them, and I'll do so through your feedback questions here: What do you think of the character sp...

Re: Dog Dazed (idea) GxB game

That said, one theme to consider: what's it like being a shapeshifter? Do the guys easily understand how dogs act, or is this something they have to learn? Do the guys have to undress in order to get into their dog forms? This theme will be addressed for sure. To answer your questions, from what I'...

Re: Dog Dazed (idea) GxB game

Thank you guys! :D I love honest feedback! Some responses: Gonna be honest it's a little cheesy, i think it's really hard to pull off the animal/human thing in an interesting way and it's just needs a little more oomph I'll try to add as much oomph as I can. :) The boys don't completely act like dog...

Dog Dazed (idea) GxB game

This is an idea I have for a GxB game. I've never tried to make a GxB game before, so I'd like some critique on this idea before I start doing the work (just in case it's really, really stupid haha ^^; ). Title: Dog Dazed (pun on Dog Days) Genres: Romantic Comedy, Drama and a little bit of Fantasy ...

Re: I like you.

Maybe it could be like this: Artists donate sprite sets of 2-4 characters (an equal amount of males/females) and those sprite sets are randomly assigned to participating writers. The writers create a story inspired by the art. Then, if the writers need CGs, the artist of the sprite set will provide ...

Beautiful art and opening, I haven't played it yet but I can tell you put a lot of love into the game. :) Thanks for sharing.

Re: I like you.

We have had a big collab project before, the Cute, Light and Fluffy project, which you can download here: http://games.renpy.org/game/cute_light_fluffy.shtml The pet project was public for awhile but once we had enough members we went in secret, haha. It definitely hasn't been easy, though. The hard...

Re: (GXB) Syphethia's Discoveries (WIP)

@Mickychi: The works in progress section is only for games who have a significant amount of work done. While there is progress on the art (which is lovely, by the way) there doesn't seem to be much writing done besides the brief character and plot descriptions. Once there is significant work done (s...

Re: dynamic character?

Moved to the Ren'py questions forum. Also, please punctuate the first letter of your sentences and the I's, it's more respectful. :) As for your question, have you checked the Ren'py documentation? Here's the section on Dynamic Characters: http://www.renpy.org/wiki/renpy/doc/reference/functions/Dyna...

Re: Memoirs of an Angel [GxB] [Fantasy RPG]

The download seems to be 404'd, uh oh. D: I remember playing the demo for this about a year or so ago though... I love the atmosphere, though sometimes things did seem rushed.

That new artwork is stunning! Are you going to get sprites to match? It's nice to see some more realistic art in games.

Re: Why, IMO, it's hard finding a game to like as a female g

It seems that this discussion is getting a bit too personal. This is a heated issue, but, it doesn't need to make us turn against eachother just because of different views. Maybe we should all take a break, the conversation really isn't going anywhere (though, like I stated a few times before, there...

Re: 3D Rendering Advice

Just to warn you, most 3d models aren't very accepted in visual novels... Many people find it creepy.

But, back to the topic- I've heard Blender is good, it's free as well: http://www.blender.org/ There's tutorials on the site as well as everywhere else on the internet. :P

Re: Why, IMO, it's hard finding a game to like as a female g

@Fawn... so men are allowed to have fantasies of power including women with gravity defying breasts and bikini armour and girls can't because... it's unrealistic and not physically possible? @Auro: Where did I state that women CAN'T have unrealistic fantasies? I never said women CAN'T have unrealis...

Re: Why, IMO, it's hard finding a game to like as a female g

People keeping telling me that strong female characters are 'unrealistic' which is nonsense. I think a lot of the time when people say "strong female characters are unrealistic", they mean they can't see how a teeny tiny model chick can kick a bunch of bad guys' asses on her own (without ...

Re: Female Manga Body Shape.

It's beneficial to learn realistic anatomy to draw anyways, so I suggest just doing some studying on that if you want to get better. I made a tutorial on how to draw girl bodies a while ago based on the studies I've done, you can see it here: http://angeliccarrot.deviantart.com/gallery/34221793#/d4a...
