If there's a will there's a way!
Realistically speaking, you can get something done if you have a small project, use pre-existing sprites and backgrounds, work on it a little a day and just persevere until the end of the month.

Re: Zenith Chronicles Released! (Limited time sale!)
I don't think you have a problem either. I have my issues with certain things in the game but it isn't god awful bad. Maybe the problem is marketing. Have you marketed the game in any other places? Sent out press releases? Have you sent out your game for reviews (aside from the animetric one)? Do yo...

I feel for you. All our snow here in NY is finally melting... though we still have all the huge mounds to show for it. I can't wait for spring!

Re: A few questions about copyright...
I don't think you would have a problem if you were making it for freeware as most people are okay with it but generally speaking, it is polite to ask for permission to use the images (and songs if you are considering that in the future). Portraits, you may run into problems as they are true images o...

OK, here's my desk in full "battle stations" mode. :D desk2011.jpg Zelda FTW :D Oooo~! Plush Link! I have one too sitting atop my bed's headboard. Though mine has mardi gras beads wrapped around his head. xD I use laptops and pretty much roam around the house. The best spot has to the be ...

Re: Sketchbook Pro?
Haven't used it but I know of someone who absolutely loves it. It's definitely not Photoshop - it's specifically for illustrators and it's very similar to Sai from what I've seen. Also, it looks like it has layers now. You can try a demo if you go to Autodesk.

Re: Zenith Chronicles Released! (Limited time sale!)
Just a comment on the website - I find it weird having to go to a separate page just to get the demo. I've always seen the demo and the buy now buttons on the same page. Why not just make a download page and put both buy now and demo buttons there? One last thing, why doesn't the header for the Zeni...

Maybe release episode 1 for free or something to drum up interest? I'm not sure. While money is good, it's important that people experience your awesome games as well. If you're going to do this, I suggest you do Game Giveaway for a Day . It's a good way to get feedback, maybe get more fans, and ge...

IntRenAiMo. That was the name for those who wanted to finish a game in progress. Are there still the occasional IntRenAiMo participant every year, btw?LVUER wrote:There's other event for something you made in the past and want to finish it now... but I forgot the event name...

Re: (Even More) Forum Changes
If you're going to implement that, you should at least put a sticky in the Recruitment area just in case someone comes along and doesn't know what those are shorthand for. There's some people in my forum, for example, who didn't know what CG meant along with some other shorthands we know and take fo...

Re: Sprite Process Work
Be careful about having too many layers in one PSD file because it can slow down your computer considerably. At least in my case but I tend to color my characters at 300 DPI with pixel sizes up in the 1000-2000 range or more. To work around this, I will usually save different files say one file for ...

Re: Web-hosting issue TT
You have to be careful about contact forms. There are robots that can basically use that against you and run up multiple emails like it was being sent from you - basically sending out spam. Most hosting companies are also a bit more careful about international customers so that could've been an issu...

Re: How to get Started in Video Game Writing
~Keep in mind that most visual novels are dialog driven that means more dialogs talks, less narration then usual story writing. ~Keep the dialogs short, because people will get tired of reading when sentence are too long. They might end up clicking through it. This. Very important for video games. ...
