Re: Ren'Py 6.13.10-12 Released

I was late to get 6.13.12, and only just tried it recently. My previous version was 6.13.7. Whenever I try to load a saved game for one of my projects or the tutorial game, the game crashes and I get this: I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred. While running game code: File "tutorial/ga...

It was a zip, so just the default windows one. But since I read this, I'm trying 7zip now. It seems to work.

Re: Heartful Chance~!

@icecheetah: Is that the makefile file that is inside the contents/frameworks/python.framework/versions~~~~~~~~/confige/makefile ??? I already scanned it using avira. It did not have any bad files according to the avira report~ ^___^ Okay, it's safe, the problem is that during the extraction a pop ...

Re: Heartful Chance~!

I got the optimised version, and when I extracted it, it said the file "makefile" was password protected. I skipped it, and it seems to have extracted fine, but I don't want to open it until I'm sure what that makefile thing was about.

Re: The Elevator [futuristic suspense/slice of life]

Just downloaded it, and found it very funny that it was 'installed' to my downloads folder! Ah, but I prefer it this way. :) Just begun playing... will probably finish sometime after my exams. But the only critisism I have so far is that I have to practically turn the volume to zero. I have to turn ...

That place should be a help. They often have medical questions, and there are people in medicine who go there regularly.
Seriously, I once got some really detailed information on typical pharmaceutical pracitce in japan there, when google was useless.

Re: The GUI thread!

I was wondering how to do that... now I know there are tutorials!
Welp. I'll keep an eye on this for when I get a bit closer to finishing something.
Edit: Another source for free textures: http://mayang.com/textures/
Though I don't know how many games would find them useful.

Re: Question (survey) about Cross-Over Game

Q1: When you pit characters from multiple different universe together, we need some kind of explanation how it's going on... A. Hey, they all live in the same world after all... B. There are multiple worlds in multiple different dimension beyond that gate... and guess what? We can freely go beyond ...

Re: [dischan] Juniper's Knot (2012)

I really enjoyed this! I like how you used colour and speech bubble tails to mark the characters, rather than names. It looks a little odd when the characters are off screen, or both are on the same side, but I barely noticed the former and the latter only confused me for a second. Story, music and ...

Re: That Cheap and Sacred Thing - Drama/Sci-fi

It was a brilliant thing to take a chance on. I found a bit hard to read at first because, well, I get secondhand embarrasment VERY easily (much much more easily than the average person) but once there was no cause for that I was hooked! I particularly like the Elly-in-Jude scenes. Normally, I don't...

Re: Beginner level tutorial

I've started going through this, and reached the end today! It's very good! Even if mine is... wildly different from what is in the walkthrough dialouge and choice wise. Just making it silly to make it more memorable to me. And I wish I'd learned about this sooner, it's REALLY useful!

Re: Freezing v1.0 [NaNoRenO 2012]

Is it kinda sad that I got positively rediculously excited when I saw I had 5 replies? Thanks to you who played the game and commented, you warmed my creator heart and seriously made my day! *snip* Anyway, after that long winded ramble... This: "Normally I'd let this slide, but... the fact tha...

Re: Freezing v1.0 [NaNoRenO 2012]

Finished, got all endings. And something's bothering me: When I lied to Francis James SAID he had a fiver! Unless I'm wrong and this isn't set in the UK proper, a fiver should be enough for even a rip-off office coffee! I mean, I can go to a posh cafe and get a chai tea latte with a slice of cake fo...

Re: The Knife of the Traitor [Comedy/Mystery/GXB][NaNoRenO 2

Kicked me right out of a bad mood this did! Thanks! I got ALL the bad endings in my first playthrough, unless Corvis has one. I got the fanservice special (and the best part was laughing at Male Os), and used the walkthrough for the rest. And I like Mr. Suicide god Lilja. The fun detail of Corvis tr...

Re: Do your characters surprise you?

It's normal. In fact, it's good! Apparantly, when that happens it means that you predicting your character's actions using the same system as you would use to 'predict' the actions of a person you know. You literally are using your brain like you would if they were real people, and that both increse...
