Re: What would you do?
Well, sure, Showsni, if you want to get all pedantic about the terminology. You call them Yeti when they're found in the Eastern hemisphere, and Sasquatch (or Bigfoot) when found in the Western hemisphere. But they're the same species, or at least close enough that they're capable of interbreeding....

Re: Grim [UPDATE: 1/17/09 Sketches Up!]
Update! The old character artist was too busy to take on our project. But, fortunately enough, I've found a new one! Thanks to feralkat, we now have some sketches for our characters. These are still the first draft, so the next time you see them, there might be a few changes. I feel so motivated, n...

Re: Artist for volunteer!
OK, here's the story. I have a character artist, but she doesn't have any way to make different expressions. She doesn't even use a computer, except to scan it, but I figured I could tolerate that. But, now, she says she's going to take over a month to just get sketches out. What I'm saying is, all ...

Re: Grim - mystery VN
OK, so since that's the case, I'll start finishing the 'script' and leave out the endings that need to be redone. I can snag some free sprites and photos for you to use as a visual guide, so you know everything's the way it should be. I'll PM you later about some specifics. Or maybe I'll make one of...

Re: Grim - mystery VN
Just a quick update: I added a short list of features that I've planned to include in the game. This includes: - interrogations - clickable clues - updated journal - 3 endings - 1 secret ending I've also got a lot of the music searching done, and all I have left for that is sound effects. The charac...

Re: Grim - mystery VN
Do you still need a coder? I don't dare to call myself a programmer but you can see my ability from the main menu generator. Good luck on your project. Yes, I do still need someone to code the game. As long as you can code what I want (given that it's possible in Ren'Py), then I'm satisfied. Your M...

Re: Grim - mystery VN
Update - A character artist was found! You can find a link in the main post. - A title was decided on. It may be a bit cliche, as the word has been used countless times, but it is the most fitting at the moment. - A CG artist may have been found, though the details are still being worked out. I've ...

Re: WIPs with huge lists of character details
how about a short paragraph of bio as the characters themselves would write them? I think that's a really cool idea. It would be a lot more personal. Even if, let's say, a character thought they were something that they're not, the reader would be able to tell by the way it's phrased. That's really...

Re: Nameless Project - mystery VN
I fully understand that the issue exploded here, and I don't really blame them for bringing the topic up. I'm going to follow their advice and change things when I get the next chance (whenever that may be, I have no idea), but I don't much appreciate their rude approach. Anyway. I'm going to agree ...

Re: Nameless Project - mystery VN
I understand what you're trying to say. I really do, and I am in the process of trying to logically phrase my new summary. What I don't understand is why you put so much effort into bashing someone's thread and can't just politely say, "I would be more interested if you put more into your summa...

Re: WIPs with huge lists of character details
I understand what you're saying, and (despite my earlier remark about not bringing the conflict up) the only extra information that I, specifically, put into their info was their height and weight, and what their names meant. The last one I can see being a bit out there, but height and weight seems ...

Re: WIPs with huge lists of character details
I'm not really going to comment upon the conflict that brought this topic up, but I suppose I should say at least this, even if I'm still feeling a bit sour. It's very hard to satisfy people. You need to show them that you've put work into the game (and what is a game without their characters?), but...

Re: Nameless Project - mystery VN
In all honesty, I am a bit offended. Not because of your suggestion, however. If there is one thing I agree with is that my summary was more of a sales pitch than a summary. But, unfortunately, I can't really say much more without giving things away. What I am offended over is that you decide to spa...

Grim [UPDATE: 1/17/09 Sketches Up!]
"Grim" Early one October morning, young Allen Labelle was found dead, cold and bloodless beneath his bedsheets. He watches through lifeless eyes as his family mourns, and wishes for nothing more than to hold them one last time, to feel the warmth their bodies give him. But, he finds that ...

Re: neowired's art
(: All very very true. And your perspective drawings, the one with the building and the girl sitting on a random window, That was really good. I never did well with perspectives. I'm more of a writer, anyway. I suppose I noticed the details because what I was looking for would have to be careful of ...
