Ren'Py pause and time and such [SOLVED]
Is there a python statement in Ren'Py that I can use to create some sort of time delay, without causing an interaction like renpy.pause() does? "time" is only within the image definition as far as I understand, and "timer" is for screens. The problem I'm having is that this doesn...

Re: Callback - Character Indicators
Works like a charm! It's literally perfect. init -1 python: from functools import partial def talking_stick(char, event_name, interact=True, **kwargs): if not interact: return if event_name == "begin": renpy.show("talk_indic", at_list=[current_pos(char.xpos,char.ypos - 48*3,0.5)]...

Callback - Character Indicators [SOLVED]
Hey all! I have a question about character callbacks that's really stumping me. I've seen them used pretty cleanly for beepy voices and lip flaps and all that, but I'm trying to use them for custom character indicators, kind of like CTC indicators. To do this, I need the character to be an argument ...

Re: Vora [Post-Apocalyptic] [Pixel] [Commercial]
Hey everyone! It's been a while since I updated this. It's good to hear there is some interest for it. There was a bit of a change because I went and learned how to do pixel animation myself, and took over animating for this project to develop my own skills. I've posted a second, more robust teaser ...

Re: Slider has transparency field around it
That doesn't look like it's changing anything. Based on where the slider disappears, I think it has something to do with the border around the vboxes. The slider disappears on that hard edge on the left side, because I guess the contents of the box are left-aligned, but it's okay on the right side. ...

Re: Slider has transparency field around it
Okay, and now how can I open it up so the full slider is still visible at max and min values?

Slider has transparency field around it
The sliders here make part of the bar around it disappear. Is there a way I can fix this?

Re: Vora [Post-Apocalyptic] [Pixel] [Commercial]
Things have been progressing quickly. Check out the first background and walking animation in the teaser video I put in the main post. Check back here tomorrow as well, I'll be making a more polished teaser #2 and cleaning up this whole post tonight after work.

Re: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor [Reverse-Engineered]
I'm not 100% sure what you're asking, but this is how I did the moving phone menu. It's a lot like the base Alex gave me, just repeated over several buttons. I've only shown one button here (the top left one), but there are 9 in total. For this top button, it sets the variable "mid_move_down&qu...

Re: Doki Doki Literature Club! [BxG] Free Download
As other people have said, it was a nice treat to see some easily recognizable Ren'Py things, like the traceback. I love that I very quickly found myself treating my entire computer as the game, not just the program. I became super aware of the screen being on my desktop, and started to fear things ...

Re: Vora [Post-Apocalyptic] [Pixel] [Commercial]
Thanks! I hope the story feels original and unique when you guys can get your hands on it; I'm trying hard to make it interesting. I originally planned for the demo to be only the first 3 scenes, but I'm bumping it up to be the first 5, just to give a little bit more of a tease and because I'm kind ...

Re: Need some opinions on an idea for catching people's interest in my VN.
Your original idea reminds me of the story of Ask A Ninja, which started out as this same kind of viral marketing plan and took on a life of its own.
