Re: Reach for the Stars [GxG] [SoL] [Friendship] [Mystery]
A GxG game? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! There aren't all too many of them on this site, especially a game that doesn't just have a single GxG route but a pure GxG game with multiple routes. I'm really excited about this! Seconding this. I'll be interested in this game for that reason alone. Especially...

Name Pending[Parenthood][BxG/B]
I'm just beginning to work on this, and I'd really appreciate everyone's thoughts. Most VNs I see are about school aged characters, including my own stories, so this is my attempt at going a bit beyond that. This story is about your typical unmotivated, slacker male protagonist - ten years later. --...

Re: Could someone explain licenses to me?
You may want to check out http://creativecommons.org/ Licenses tell people what they can and can't do with your work, such as using it, altering it, sharing it, or selling it. You know what license your project has by getting it. If you haven't gotten one, you don't have a license. This is from that...

Re: Colour: Above or Below Shading? (digital)
When I'm working on a picture and the lineart feels out of place, I'll trace it with whatever tool(s) I used for the colouring (generally oil paint) but a bit darker and bolder than the rest of the piece. It comes out a lot softer than the original inked lineart.

Rulers are great! They're why I switched over from SAI to Manga Studio. Aside from rulers that you follow directly like this one, it's also got a perspective ruler and a symmetry ruler which effect the entire stage. >u<b

Re: Please tell me what to draw ~
Hey. My friend's birthday is coming up towards the end of the month and I'm try to get him some drawings detailing an investigation we were a part of for a few years. I won't go into specifics, but I'd really appreciate a photo based off by description below. In the attached image, I'd like for you...

Re: How many demos should I make before recruitment?
What I'd want to see in a demo for your game is hard to say when I know so little about it. But, uh, I'd want there to be enough for me to get a feel for your writing style. Mechanics wise I'd like to be able to see how the sim will be played, even if it's barebones and not actually functional yet. ...

Re: Stat notifications in visual novels
I was wondering this exact question myself, as I'm working on a d20 sort of project. But it feels like a very personal preference, so I decided to pose the question to the player instead of the forum. At the beginning of the game when divvying out your stats and such I included a question on whether...

Re: How many demos should I make before recruitment?
What matters to me more is how long the project's been going on than the number of updates. I'd rather see five updates over a month than ten over a week, as the former shows longer-term dedication and I'd be less worried about early enthusiasm fizzling out. That said I do want to see word from the ...

Re: Please tell me what to draw ~
Sure! I'll have it up in a bit.
I took a look at Vampires: The New Birth, by the way, and it sounds like it'll be fun. I get the impression it'll have kind of a WoD/Masquerade feel, which I quite like.

Re: What are your expectations on VNs with calendars?
With a time sensitive game I think a calendar is a nice addition, and I wouldn't expect there to be day planner sort of aspects because of it being there. The fact that some days will skip makes me like the idea of a calendar for your game more, it allows the player to know that there's been a time ...

Re: Working with Foreign Languages
As a player, if much of the game is her saying something and then a follow up of an explanation of her gestures, I would get tired of it after a while. It's like reading every line of her dialogue twice. If you're going with that method I would recommend expressing as much as possible with the art. ...
